I would say C1 women is not enough developed, at least in Tokio would be better for programme to stay same.

True, it was an amazing competition today!

Though I like the idea of having this gender equality in sports, I really believe it's motivational for a lot of women to see that they can try to be the best at their sport and dream with an olympic medal. I would like for C2 to stay, but if for one to go in, another needs to go out..... then I don't mind to see it go away :)

yes I understand your point. But the trouble is that Tokyo is too early for womens C1. The event is absolutely not competitive at all. ther max. let say 4-5 athletes which will end in some 10 seconds, the others will barely finish the race, because at olympics must be a hard course. It will be a disaster and canoe slalom overal will hurt it a lot. remember this sport is all 4 years under pression to be cut, always before each games, and with this womens C1 step the opponents will receive very good cards to cut slalom

Congrats, Maialen! :ESP

What joy, Spain wins his second gold in just a few hours (after Mireia Belmonte in Swimming). Maialen Chourraut deserved much, was bronze medal in London 2012.

Thank you
