It's actually Madrid who ALWAYS gets the weakest possible opponent to play with, Barca and Bayern (who wouldn't be there if referees didn't rob Juve) aren't suspicious.

Here is something about it:

Since Florentino came back at the head of real madrid, in 14 champions league draws of 1/8 and quarters, Barça, Bayern, Chelsea, PSG, Juve, Arsenal, Milan, City and Inter met up to 24 times between them. Never against Real Madrid who, in these same 14 draws, faced Apoel Nicosia, Galatasaray, CSKA, Schalke 04 twice, twice Lyon, twice Spurs, Roma, BvB in ruins, a United in ruins (because real madrid finished 2nd of its group), Wolfsburg and Atleti.

Real avoided Bayern 7 times, Inter 3 times, Milan 4 times, Arsenal 4 times, Barça 5 times, Chelsea 5 times, Juve 5 times, PSG 7 times, City 4 times.

The formula would be...

(8/8*6/7*4/6)^5

In the end we got the same result ...

I think there are 105 possible draws and in 45 of them we have Bayern-Barca, Barca-Real or Real-Bayern.

Edit: Why did you put the 8/8 in there? You wanted to make it more intuitive? I dont really see the intuition behind it, could you please explain (maybe with a PM)?

Without the referees mistake it still wouldve been only 2:0 for Juve, so noone can tell if Cuadrado wouldve scored if Juve already wouldve been up 2:0 ...

Of course we can also talk about the first match, where for example Mandzukic shouldve seen a red card.

In 2014 for example Real had to play against Bayern in the semifinal and i think Atletico or Chelsea might have been even easier opponents for them. In addition to that Real often gets very difficult groups.
