Krakóv, in Poland, will host the 2023 European Games

If they last until then. They are on very thin ice right now. If think the European Championships are on their way to becoming Europe’s major multi-sport event.

Hi there! Although the programme TBC in September, some disciplines are know said to be part of the Kraków 2023:

- fencing

- rugby 7

- modern pentathlon :cheer:

- wrestling

- judo

- canoeing (sprint and slalom)

I also read something about athletics - not in the stupid DNA (do not accept?) but the best possible way - Superleague of European Team Championships.

Ooh, debut of Rugby 7. I definitely would welcome that inclusion to the program. I see that Canoe is whoring itself around to all the major European multi sports events :p. I would be awesome to finally have Canoe Slalom on the program. Overall, this sounds promising :d

I think that was  one of the most sure things in the program because of the existing infrastructure in the city.

@Sindo I believe this is the logo for the Games (at least it’s the one that they’re using at present).

Inside the Games reported a while back that Gymnastics would feature once again on the program as well.

    • The only ones complaining about the short track refs are Italians, imo. Not even on this forum, but in general, from what I've been seeing on live chats and other social media sites. That says a lot to be honest. I suspect it's partially due to them not performing to the high standard they're expected to perform at especially at the Olympics. The refs make a lot of mistakes for everyone, there's no bias against or towards anyone    Plus, Italy have won 6 medals already.... the most you've won at a Worlds since 2016.
    • For me they gave Canada the gold in the relay in exchange for a 1000-meter dsq gold for Dandjinou, that's how I see it. It was a battle between Kor and Can on 2 of this case. It's hard to say why that last dsq for Kor was in relay? Of course, Italy win bronze thanks for that, but that's not really important. It would have been better if the referees had just stayed out of the results and left it as it was decided for fight on the ice.

    • the quata for europe or australia is from the primer 12, where the top 20 teams will participate, sadly  is the 21th team so the only slight chance for us in my opinion is if: we get top 2 at the european championship (not including  hopefully if they get the quata), then somehow win the final qualification tournament against i assume  and one of    the chances for us are slim, i think about 4 other team sports  have a better chance in in my opinion(and the most team sports we ever had was one, and it was the last two time after a long time )

    • well, Cuba and Venezuela for sure...   Iran is a different question, but I hope in 2 years all this war shit is done and dusted and at least in the sports world everything is gonna be OK
    • In my opinion the Italian team has been playing above expectations since last year after several years of decline. Last year, we advanced to the first division at the European Championships and now they're playing very close matches against the strong India and Scotland. We a little miss a potential to do more – we are only 18th in the world rankings. Our men's team's performance in this sport is much weaker.
