10m Air Pistol Mixed team:

Bronze medal match: HUN vs CHN

Gold medal match: IND vs IND

Lets see if Abhishek/Yashaswini win team title after individual golds or Manu/Saurabh make it 4/4 in World Cups this year

wow! what a comeback by India 2...:yikes:

baby Deswal quite lost her mind in the final few shots...meanwhile Baker and Saurabh kept their nerves and completed a remarkable final streak...

What a remarkable world cup for india ....... and year for India in pistol and rifle

1st WC - 3-0-0 rank jt first

2nd WC 3-1-0 rank first

3rd WC 5-1-0 rank first

4th WC 5-2-2 rank first .......

we are getting better ..... of course in many events top shooters may have been shooting in MQS ..... but still a remarkable achievement... I hope they can carry this thru to 2020 and Rio .....a perfect WC at rio after the disaster at Rio in 2016 with a horrible 0-0-0 in shooting

  • 2 weeks later...

These national trials in shooting are by far the hardest shooting events for Indian shooters throughout the entire year. Someone like Apurvi dominating the whole year finishing sixth, Anjum 4th, and more teenagers into the finals. Gosh I don't think any country will have a more difficult shooting nationals than India.(rifle and pistol only)

TBH, names don’t matter. It is not amazing that Apurvi/Anjum finished without medals. What is heartening is cutoff for final in 10m Air Rifle men in nationals was 627.3 just 0.6 behind cutoff for final in  Rio WC. Even in 10m Air Rifle Women, 6 shooters were higher than 628.3 cutoff at Rio WC.

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)

    • I read the Olympic qualification documents for weightlifting. A country can have the opportunity to send a maximum of 4 athletes in one gender, but the conditions are very strict.
    • world champion Jessica Schilder opened her season up with 19.78 in France.
    • wait! what???   so, there won't be specialized double sculls, but those boats would have to feature 2 single specialists if a Nation wants to enter 2 proper singles M+W??? tell me I misread the expalaination...
    • Yeah, they do get broadcast pretty regularly.  I remember even back in Bode Miller's day they would show the training.
