depleter 9 Posted September 2, 2019 #571 Share Posted September 2, 2019 What great shooting from Saurabh and Manu, completely dominating the Qualification 2. And India confirms another gold as the final is b/w India 1 and India 2.

phelps 7,210 Posted September 2, 2019 #576 Share Posted September 2, 2019 wow! what a comeback by India 2... baby Deswal quite lost her mind in the final few shots...meanwhile Baker and Saurabh kept their nerves and completed a remarkable final streak... nitinsanker 187 Posted September 2, 2019 #578 Share Posted September 2, 2019 (edited) What a remarkable world cup for india ....... and year for India in pistol and rifle 1st WC - 3-0-0 rank jt first 2nd WC 3-1-0 rank first 3rd WC 5-1-0 rank first 4th WC 5-2-2 rank first ....... we are getting better ..... of course in many events top shooters may have been shooting in MQS ..... but still a remarkable achievement... I hope they can carry this thru to 2020 and Rio .....a perfect WC at rio after the disaster at Rio in 2016 with a horrible 0-0-0 in shooting Edited September 3, 2019 by nitinsanker strength does not come from physical capacity but from an indomitable will. - Gandhi
Fly_like_a_don 995 Posted September 11, 2019 #579 Share Posted September 11, 2019 These national trials in shooting are by far the hardest shooting events for Indian shooters throughout the entire year. Someone like Apurvi dominating the whole year finishing sixth, Anjum 4th, and more teenagers into the finals. Gosh I don't think any country will have a more difficult shooting nationals than India.(rifle and pistol only)

What is heartening is cutoff for final in 10m Air Rifle men in nationals was 627.3 just 0.6 behind cutoff for final in Rio WC. Even in 10m Air Rifle Women, 6 shooters were higher than 628.3 cutoff at Rio WC.
