Wang Yang was not allowed to play the Last 16 round match against Timo Boll of :GER . He had to stay isolated in quarantine as "close contact of a positive" He has no symptoms and feels good.

No reason I believe to say you that it is the first and only Covid-19 case in the whole tournament. :p

Anyway, Wang had clearly the run of his life at this championship eliminating players one by one, maybe there were also a chance against Boll, who know ? A QF for SVK would be new historic NR

Hugo Calderano is always eliminated by a chinese, no matter how far he goes. But QF is already an amazing feat (best ever for a brazilian, just like at the Olympics).

Wow 19-year Old Möregårdh to the final! And he wasnt even selected to our olympic team:yikes:

He is absolutely talented and with great potential to be super star in the future. His way of playing is quite enjoyable for spectators. Of course if he wins tomorrow then he is already a super star who defeat Fan Zhendong in the WCh final!

It's also worth noting that 58-year old Ni Xialian :LUX won a bronze medal at the worlds, 38 years after she had won two world championship golds when she represented China back then.
