Some inside info from our team, don't know what truth there is. IBU is trying to pull the biathlon starts a bit earlier in the day, because at the late afternoon / evening, the temperatures are going -10, -15 C at the moment and some people have complained.

As they should. I bet biathletes are sick and tired of having to race two straight Olympics in unheard of conditions because some "fans" are too lazy to wake up at 7 am or something.

Fair enough, but don't forget that it was the IOC's greed and corruption that drove these Olympics away from Norway, their logical home.

Seriously.  Did no one realize it would be cold in China?  Probably wanted the events a little later so they could be at night (and friendlier times in Europe), plus so they don't clash as much with cross-country
