Brooke Andersen - 3 no throws.

Same for Tausaga-Collins last night, reigning world champion in the discus throw doesn't even make the trials final. Commentator talking about how this is the toughest team to make (a sentence they use tons of times of course, but alright) and how in every single other country she'd be basically assured of an Olympic spot, but I feel like they only saw her world championships result and not all of her other results, most of which were far, far, far below that world championships fluke...

Just to clarify: I don't mean fluke negatively, I love surprise winners, but I think it's safe to say that Budapest result was an outlier if ever I've seen one :p

Didn't see her first throw, but the second and third were....wild, way out onto the track even :yikes:

While it was definitely a fluke, they’re right in saying for pretty much every other country in the world she’d be at the Olympics. Just on her 2024 SB she’d be a likely finalist

Just caught up with Oregon of last night now, I guess Athing Mu's fall is exemplary of why it's just so stupid to decide 100% of your starters on a one-off event :d

Obviously everyone knows the rules beforehand, so it's not unfair in any way, but if you so desperately want trials, it should just simply be something like two tickets being decided that way and one based on who is the best in general or something like that.

Any idea what happened? :(

That's sad, I'd have loved to see Tebogo in a big relay.
