@copravolley Other underline athletes are for example Krystsina Tsimanouskaya on 200m, but according news she will get quota here as Bol and Adeleke are qualified in this distance, but will not compete. Either way she will not add number of our delegation as she surely will be member of 4x100 Women's relay. Also Dawid Wegner in javelin throw will get in as an Indian athlete who is above him was caught on doping.

In either case, very happy Tsimanouskaya qualified, and hopefully she will have a much, much better Olympic experience than in Tokyo...

I'm a bit confused by Shaunae Miller-Uibo's score/qualification.

It looks like 2 of her counting scores are from August 2022 which looks like is outside the qualification period or am I wrong?

  • Amandine Brossier, women's 400m
  • Léna Kandissounon, women's 800m
  • Ninon Chapelle, women's pole vault
  • Pablo Matéo, men's 100m

Is there any chance someone rejects a quota in men's 20km race walk? I want the first alternate :ETH to qualify

:GER Karl Junghannß doesn't have the internal German standard. Though it seems they have updated this list? I'm sure that this afternoon Junghannß was last above the cut, now he's first below the cut. Anyway, he's one place above :ETH and there's a chance Germany will reject this quota, if they are offered it. The other German low on this list, Leo Köpp, does have the national standard, however.

They’re allowed because they’re the last continental championship for the Bahamas

I would think it particularly disgraceful to see a home nation refuse quotas

I don’t think that’s why. Django Lovett’s result in men’s high jump from the NACAC Championships in 2022 still counts towards his ranking, and he’s Canadian.

I don't know any details about North American Championships, but wouldn't Canada and the Bahamas have the same Continental Championships? So this would fit.

    • Atalanta is probably playing the most beautiful football in Europe right now: spectacular and effective. It's nice to watch and they don't have to spend a lot of money for it.   Inter is playing very economically. It's not impressive but it's consistently collecting points. It's also the only team in the Champions League that hasn't conceded a goal this season.   Milan played very poorly yesterday but they won. They have 9 points and are close to qualifying for the play-offs.

    • Unfortunate, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm looking forward to Thursday evening, when the team captain's meeting is over and we have our very first World Cup start list of the season. Always a cool moment to see who's there and everything
    • Today I unpacked some of the boxes in which we have put my way too many books to move to our house, and I came across these beauty's I hadn't seen for a while     Absolutely recommended, tough to get for a decent price, but they are such an interesting read with lots of very interesting little stories! Still looking for at least 1900, 1904 and 1906, but not really in the right moment to spend money on that now, so the wait goes on
