  1. According to some Slovenian sources (so still not official), 20 teams will participate in the European League this year, which will be split into two divisions: "GOLD" division with 12 teams and "SILVER" division with 8 teams. Supposedly this are the groups of the GOLD division Group A: Group B: Group C:
  2. So although we don't have any world junior competitions coming this year, there are 4 different european championships coming up, hopefully with some great matches Here is how the qualifications groups look like EUROVOLLEY U17 WOMEN - GROUP WINNERS + 3 RUNNERS UP QUALIFY TO FINALS. In order to compare the results across pools featuring four and three teams, the results from the matches played with the teams finishing last in the pools of four will be discarded. (29 NATIONAL TEAMS PARTICIPATE - 12 TEAMS TOTAL IN FINAL ROUND) EUROVOLLEY U-18 MEN - GROUP WINNER + 3 RUNNERS UP QUALIFY (28 NATIONAL TEAMS PARTICIPATE - 12 NATIONAL TEAMS TOTAL IN FINAL ROUND ) EUROVOLLEY U19 WOMEN (1st Round) - GROUP WINNERS QUALIFY TO THE NEXT ROUND EUROVOLLEY U19 WOMEN (ROUND 2 & 3) - GROUP WINNERS QUALIFY TO THE FINALS. RUNNERS-UP + 1 3rd PLACED TEAM QUALIFY TO ROUND 3 CONSISTING OF 2 POOLS WITH 4 TEAMS EACH. THE BEST 2 TEAMS FROM EACH GROUP IN ROUND 3 QUALIFY TO THE FINALS (33 NATIONAL TEAMS PARTICIPATE - 12 NATIONAL TEAMS TOTAL IN FINAL ROUND) EUROVOLLEY U20 MEN - GROUPS WINNERS QUALIFY TO THE FINALS. RUNNERS UP PARTICIPATE IN NEXT QUALIFYING ROUND, WITH 2 POOLS CONTAINING 4 TEAMS EACH. THEN THE GROUP WINNERS WILL QUALIFY TO THE FINALS. 4. Wow, what an amazing and thought provoking read https://imgur.com/gallery/gkLFz
  5. This should be headline news all over the world.
  6. I really hope they will change the camera angle for next competitions...
  7. There is not a Champions League in women's water polo The 1st tier competition for Women is LEN Euroleague, you can follow the results here http://www.microplustiming.com/leneuroleaguewomen/indexCL_web.php?cal=1 Probably only 4 teams wanted to participate The World league is open to all teams, and there participated more teams in previous World League editions, so it is the only explanation I think
  8. A new Polish ski jumper, 17 y.o Tomasz Pilch (and Adam Malysz's nephew ) will debut in Polish team this season, in the 4 hill tournament competitions held in Austria. He is currently #1 in Continental Cup General standings, with three medals already this year
  9. I voted bad - i realize our football team qualified to World Cup, in Ski Jumping we had amazing 4 hill tournament, BUT our Handball NT did not qualify to the European Championship, our Volleyball team was a disaster throughout the season, and our clubs were barely any better, with all of them being eliminated as soon as the Champions League reached play-offs, and although i had low exectations, the EuroBasket also turned out worse then expected. Justyna Kowalczyk sadly also did not achieve any overall good results - but here I don't really blame her. Sadly it's natural for athletes to become progressively weaker as they are nearing their career end. It's just too bad our cross country skiing does not exist without her
  10. FIVB has been choosen as the best sports federation of 2017
  11. Apparently there was a tournament in Italy called "Memorial Alessandro Casadei" where participated some teams from the Italian second league SERIE B and the San Marino Men's National Volleyball Team, where the team actually took 2nd place Quite surprising they did not get thrashed by the Italian teams
