  1. Yep, but she will not play in Tokyo, right ? btw when it comes to womens tennis, there like some Slovak fetish there, Hingis, Bencic, Masarova... I also forgot about Bettany Mattek-Sands, but here it is more dsistant origin than in the swiss girls, both her Grandparents were from Slovakia..apparently
  2. Yesterdays Results from the Beijer Hockey Games. won over 3-2 after Penalty Shoot-Out and defeated 2-1 after PSO as well. so in the Beijer Games, Russia leading the tourney with 5 points ahead of Sweden 3 pts, Finland 3rd and Czechia 4th both with 2 points. FIN ahead thanks of the head to head game. EURO HOCKEY TOUR 2020/21 Cumulative Standing (8 Match Days) 1. Russia 21 - Still Unbeaten !!! 2. Czech Rep. 11 3. Sweden 8 4. Finland 8
  3. About The only ones more or less still in contention for Tokyo are Rory Sabbatini in M Golf and obvioulsy the wrestling armada like Taimuraz Salkazanov, Boris Makoev or Akhsarbek Gulaev + still minor chance for Zsuzsanna Molnár among womens. two boxers with origins Andrej "Bandi" Csemez and Viliam Tankó (who would be also the first Romani athlete from Slovakia at the Olympics since Sydney 2000 If I am not wrong) but his chances of qualification iare very low I must admit. The already qualified are Canoeing Sprint guys which are all born with origins who won the K4 quota, Csaba Zalka, Erik Vlček, Adam Bottek, Samuel Baláž and Peter Gelle. 10% of the population are Hungarian origin in Slovakia especially along the southern border, they are tradtionally our representatives n Canoeing Sprnt and in the past in other different sports like Wrestling or Table Tennis. It is also a bit difficult to find the exact number, becasue as I said there many Slovak-Hungarian mixed nationalities in Slovak population, so basically almost in every sport you´ll find more or less athletes with bigger or smaller Hun origin. Same obviously apply for - origin. For origin athletes who will compete for Foreign countries. there as far as I know one for sure already qualified Belinda Benčič(ová) Tennis for
  4. It is too early to say anything, we do not know the consequences of the pandemic situation on different athletes, their training/travel possibilities etc... this is too many factors we have to take into consideration during the era we are living in. + this sport depend probably the most of all also on luck on given day - especially on second and third level athletes, any mistake may be too costly, missing one gate in final and you are out, despite being 30 seconds faster than anyone else in the qualifiers or semifinals...etc..we´ve seen it many many times.. But if everything goes according to world rankings logic and expected plans, the athletes living and training in France are obviously the top favorites for the quotas, so If I have to bet my money, it should be mainly between both Bourhis bros vs Terence Saramandif of , among womens is the top fav for sure, but if Celia Jodar for some reason will fail then the quota will be really open to anyone who will just afford to enter the race. Pretty sure the W C1 quota will be unused.
  5. No, sadly no spectators are allowed ths year, they are only coaches and support staff.

  10. Unbelievable, that tomorrow the 14th of February will be her very first 4 shooting race of the whole season.
  11. and it was a German day among women in a smaller but still pretty hardcore typical Slovak february frost. Vanessa Voigt won the sprint ahead of Ekaterina Noskova and another Anna Weidel by 0.6 resp. 5.7 sconds. All top 3 shoot clean. No points for the host this time, but at least 2 girls made it to the pursuit, the young of the Machynaková sisters Julia and Lucia Michaličková with 46th and 48th., interesting both started with bibs 22 and 23 and they skied together almost the whole race
