Might be the worst proposal I’ve ever read (no offense). This would actually destroy the Olympics, unlike adding some new age sports. Also, way more than 21 nations should be competing in a summer sport to make it Olympic. I’d say it should be damn near 50% of the world (at least), to be considered Olympic. The Olympics should honestly have more sports/events. Im not even going to address your elitist attitude on how sports should be “voted in” (because that’s not an actual vote then) There would never be an Olympics because no one would agree to add anything. I like the current system of the hosts being allowed to add a few sports they want to.

He is a legitimate slider though (as in trains year round, goes to races every year, etc.), so it sucks they got rid of that provision . It should reward people like him, since he actually deserves a continental spot.

He’s currently beating people on ICC, and has yet to finish outside the top 20 I believe...

Definitely recommend seeing sliding in person if you ever get the chance. I’ve been to both Whistler (awesome track, great viewing) and Park City (a bit older, too shades too often, still awesome). There’s absolutely nothing like seeing people slide past you in person.

I put it up in the foothills. People were either too busy running, too busy having car sex, or busy doing drugs to steal it @Agger what I do is I’d create a route that would go by my house every 5-10km, so that I could leave the bottle, and then I’d just chuck it back onto my property like a pro-cyclist. You could also elect to run with the bottle then if you need it. You could also just do what climbers/outdoorists do, and just stash the bottle somewhere where no one, but you can find it.

What I used to do is create my own checkpoints. I would place a bottle somewhere I knew I’d pass, and then I would stop and drink for second if I needed to during the run.

We currently have competing in international events, but the IBSF decided continental quotas weren’t worth it . Frimpong is a competitive slider, and would/will add value to the games . Martin has been improving steadily, and competing on the ICC. Gambia would make their first Winter Olympic appearance (though he needs quite a bit of help).

Think about this, Trump is blocking immigration from Myanmar on grounds of a “Muslim” ban. Those same Muslims just massacred by their own government, and forced into exile in Bangladesh. This is exactly the same as blocking Jewish refugees during World War 2. It’s disgusting, it’s abhorrent, but it’s unfortunately very American. I’m glad other countries through our bullshit. I’m so saddened by my country today.

AU has proven before that won’t stop them. AU is arguably the most powerful organization in Africa. Countries with a spine have already pulled out of this abomination. FIFA isn’t safe from attacks, and the AU could do a lot of damage if they directed their members to investigate FIFA. FIFA is powerful, but they have weaknesses.

If CAF sanctions them, AU (African Union) may ban all countries from participating in CAF events. That would be interesting to witness...

More attention: probably not (at least not a significant amount) It would be nice and cool for those of us that care though.
