Bratislava born Lukáš Hradecký (Lukas Hradecky) Goalkeeper of German Football club Bayer Leverkusen and Finland national team was named Ahlete of the Year in ahead of Sami Välimäki (Golf) 3rd Miro Heiskanen (Ice Hockey), and the F1 rider Valtteri Bottas 4th.
 
 

We don't have to take a moment for this because we have already seen this last year for many events. I would say that motorsports are the only ones who didn't lose much. Sure, the fans add to the atmosphere, but even without them you are still watching some crazy people drive fast cars. The Champions League on the other hand... it looked kinda ridiculous. 22 millionaires running around a ball without the fans is just 22 millionaires running around a ball, feels a bit meaningless. 

By the end of March we will know fate of Olympic Games.

Czech Republic and Olympics, that is a long story of successes and great amazing athletes through different sports from athletics decathlons to Rowing Single Sculls but obviously the top prestigious result should be considered the Nagano 1998 Tournament of Century triumph (Winning that first ever tournament with NHLers under the five rings is somehow still so underrated achievement in the world sport, I really seriously can not understand why. It was and is one hell of an achievement !)

I haven't heard Spotakova story about Soviet occupation anniversary before, either.
 
And this 30km Torino race was great gold for Katerina Neumannova greeted by her kid at the finish, but also first olympic medal for Justyna Kowalczyk, who DNF 10 km race few days earlier (because she fainted, they say) but in 30km she came back strongly. It turns out - what a-moment that was for both of us.

I have three amazing moments which makes me cry:
 
Torino 2006 - cross-country skiing - Women 30km - Kateřina Neumannová and her finish! (it was her last olympic track)
 
Beijing 2008 - athletics - Women javelin throw - Barbora Špotáková and her last sixth throw in which she break the russian leader Maria Abakumova. Barbora's win is more valuable, because exactly that day was the 40th anniversary of the Soviet occupation. (Barbora had been never threw over 70 metres before)
 
Pyeongchang 2018 - Alpine skiing - Women super-G - Ester Ledecká. Just phemonemal... In  her called "The Amphibian"

Kiril Lazarov made his WCH debut in 1999 in Egypt and will participate again in 2021 in Egypt also which can be his last WCH appearance :D

I don't like putting people in unnecessary danger for our entertainment. I also don't like the idea of an Olympics where a large number of top athletes can be withdrawn because of a virus. The Olympics should either go on the same way as used to be (just maybe without spectators) or if that's not possible, it should take a break like it did during the world wars. The Games is one of the largest events in the world with 10,000 athletes, I am not sure if you realize how hard it is to organize such an event when COVID isn't over yet.

Back in Seoul 1988, we had a good pair in canoe sprint K2.  Philippe Boccara et Pascal Boucherit were actually world champions in 1987 and from my understanding favorite to win the gold medal in South Korea.
 
All good and well, except they didn't make the semi-finals, they ... felt asleep before the start of the race and came too late...
 
Fun fact, France still has to win a gold medal in canoe sprint 32 years later
