Nothing special here, apart from probably some extra church services for those interested Well and the shops close earlier, in my town (way more strictly Christian than the rest of the country) they close at 18:00 instead of 21:00 which is the normal time to close on Friday. It's also not a national holiday although quite a lot of people take the day off to have a 4-day weekend (since Monday, or 'Second Easter Day') is a national holiday Generally though: no, today is just a day as any other.

Yes, but surely if you use one hand for receiving something in Korea you're not gonna get physically attacked? What's the eye contact part in Japan btw? You can't make eye contact when talking? I agree though, have some respect for each other's values, and if someone breaks it, either just tell them (maybe they didn't know, although of course that's not the case when someone burns a specific book, but in other situations) or ignore it and go on with your own life. And rule one: don't go and shit on someone's values on purpose 'just because'.

Yes, which is why I said the people burning a book to provoke people and/or make a statement are just as idiotic. It's all just so unnecessary, burning books that have meaning to other people, attacking people who burn books, etc. Get a life, both sides.

It's still a book. Bullshit to go and burn it, bullshit to go and attack people who burn it. If person A burns a book and person B goes batshit crazy and attacks because of it, both people are just idiots.

To be fair, that does sound a bit more important than posting your votes (although personally I'd just do that another day, since the dead won't mind if you're a day early or late, but yeah).
