  1. Meaning this will end up being the perfect recipe for having an IBU Cup-like event as the World Cup Final. Great.
  2. Which means the Nations Ranking and so the Olympic quota places coming from there will all be known after the world championships (unless those World Cups are replaced of course)
  3. Cool to see Soldier Hollow and Canmore on it again...not very cool to have the World Cup finals there, unless something mad happens and all of a sudden the atmosphere will be Oslo-like (which I doubt). Lenzerheide though
  4. Yeah it won't happen, and even if it could (in terms of ice), I really, really hope it won't. Elfstedentocht without spectators, yeah, no thanks.
  5. With the first quarter of the run as exception, I don't think I've ever seen a more boring super-G course. Dear lord what a shitshow.
  6. Just now I realize the world championships still have this insane format in the 500m...
  7. Meanwhile Sven Kramer has ended his season after his race in which he couldn't even come close to a decent performance due to a back injury.
  8. So close to finally getting a gold medal
  9. Meanwhile it's being an excellent winter here in terms of series we've been watching sind mid-December: - Finished Lucifer (seasons 4, 5 and the last few episodes of 3) - Watched The Outsider start to finish - Watched Barbaren start to finish - Now watching Snowpiercer All very enjoyable so far
  10. Well, scratch the two Austrian races. @brunamoura was supposed to be travelling on Monday morning, but due to the immense amounts of snow and ice everywhere the train services in both the Netherlands and Germany have seen major disruptions everywhere from Sunday morning on. Things are finally getting a little better now, trains to Germany are going again, but it's not yet possible to realistically get all the way to Austria. We have good hopes that it will be possible on Sunday, so nearly a week delay. Hopefully the World Cup will still be possible, and at least the two Austrian races of this week are by far the least important.
  11. Yes, let's take the tweets serious of dozens of random people who have two friends and their dog as followers.
  12. For some reason I fear Roest might have been going too deep in the previous months (again), although at least this time there were fewer competitions, so he might have energy left
  13. Awesome, all real problems in the US have apparently been solved so the focus can now go on nonsense like this
  14. Not a fan of movies, definitely a fan of Netflix/series
  15. Nothing interesting for the women I think, Chile will get 1 point and good chance Liechtenstein won't get much more than that. Kazakhstan might move up a position, depending on how good they are (their juniors weren't that impressive in the end).
  16. Thanks. First movie I've ever even heard of is ranked 21st there
  17. Oh, I thought movies were nominated for those too

  19. At least the last two times it was women - men, didn't bother to check further To be honest, I like when they mix the order up. As far as I'm concerned, mixed relays at the highest level (so WC, WCH and OG) should always be women - men followed by men - women - followed by women - men and so on. Not much about equality, it's just more fair to have a roughly 50/50 balance in the order in an event where things like final sprints are a thing - and so always having the same order always benefits countries who have stronger men/women (depending on who's always last). The exact distances have changed quite often recently if I'm not mistaken, it seems like they've been trying it out for a while now. I'm fairly sure I've seen mixed relays with equal distances before.
  20. Great, so time trial handlebars during regular flat stages it is..
  21. The shortlists for the main awards come later?
  22. Now I can't see her hidden content anymore, thanks !
  23. For some reason, I am able to see this post by @brunamoura, even though it is 100% within hide /hide blocks. I checked both her and my posts in that thread and they are exactly the same (other than the names in the teams of course, I mean the hide blocks are identical). Also, on her account my post is not visible, whereas on my account her post is visible. What's going on here? Right now the content of that post is just the word 'test' (inside the hide blocks), because of the issue of not wanting to show the team
