Except he didn't realize all race long that the comparison was with the Olympic record Which, to be fair, is quite dumb: compare with a meaningful record and not with useless Olympic records

    Could anyone with knowledge care to explain what happened with Scruggs and Errigo in the quarterfinals? Errigo was screaming her lungs out of joy, Scruggs screamed 'Fuck!' a couple times, then they went back, did nothing, referee said something and Errigo went back to screaming but this time because she lost. No idea what happened, because there was no commentator and so far all the fencers are non-stop screaming and celebrating and frustrated at the same time every point, so it's always hard to know what they're screaming about this time
