  1. You missed Stadnik - he was picked up by Romania recently.
  2. AIN quotas are not approved. A lot of russian "quota winners" did the same actions which led ICF to disqualification of Pavlov in Canoe. UWW is loyal to russians and ignored that facts, of course. But the final decision is up to the IOC. What is more important - Akobia for now is the only Ukrainian athlete which may get quota after possible AIN`s quotas reallocation. In all the other case diffrent countries will benefir from this. Some cases are absolutely clear, some 50/50. I would not say that the chance of Akobia is the best one, but...
  3. My congratulations to Russo saved your day but nobody saved our one. Our coach was to emotional, but Ukrainian wrestling community sees that 3rd coution fully correct. He should react earlier - co cautions #1 and #2 - to prevent what had happen later. Akobia lost this Olympic quota 3 times at the last moment. That is not a coincidence, it is her problem. But she still has a chance to get quota, I hope
  4. Тепер для Акобії єдиний варіант - недопуск Хорошавцевої.
  5. Yes. Russo had a hairdress which provoked that cautions.
  6. The 3rd caution was obvious but the previous 2... The hairdress of Russo helped her to win.
  7. Cuba is a liitle bit different case in my oppinion. I do not see problem with Cuban athletes. We have slightly different situation. There are many diasporas from the Caucasus in Ukraine, so we did not need to find mercenaries. These diasporas keep their traditions and culture but they are deeply integrated into the life of Ukraine, speak Ukrainian. For example, Nasibov was born in Azerbaujan, but came to Ukraine (Mykolaiv) in the age of 6. Zantaraia (judoka) born in Georgia but came to Ukraine because of the war in Georgia. Now he is a politician. Belenuk is another case - he was born in Kyiv. ------- * In my oppinion, the other reason of our problems (and problems of many other countries) is the policy of the IOC. They are reducing and reducing quotas. And the Games are getting more and more elite event. Quotas are going to top powers and and a group of weaker representatives to ensure geographic diversity. The "middle class" is the main victim of this policy. And the result of this policy in a long-term perspective is disastrous for the local sport development. No Olympic quotas means no funds and no young athletes.
  8. Not Ukrainian ) We are in the same boat with you. And may be it is the main reason - the choice between sports and shopping. As you said the rules of the game are clear, and its our free choice.
  9. Arusahnian lost but he is definitely the wresler of the day for me. He started in 1/32 and had so many hard matches, that nothing left for the quota final. Hope he will recover for tomorrow
  10. I would say yes. Mongolian won over Shustova just because of the injury. And Lecarpentier was good enough to beat AIN
  11. And injury for Sgustova (((( Super change for to get quota in W76
  12. UWW should give Chiamizo direct olympic quota
  13. Biathlon in NMNM was not so expensive )
  14. I would say Akobia was a clear favourite in 57 kg from the very beginning. It is a real surpise that she lost SF and will have to fight for quota tomorrow. Sadly she was not accurate enough again (as she was not the European qualifier as well) and lost at the very end the match where she was better.
  15. Nothing will be clear until we know the number of reallocated quaotas.
  16. is out. Alina Hrushina-Akobiia won by fall
  17. They said that AINs will not be able to keep all the quaotas due to the "2 athletes restricition", but what exactly will be reallocated is not revealed.
  18. ICF confirmed that reallocation for that quotas will happen
  19. Club disappeared but it stays in memory of Spartak Moscow fans as the their worst nightmare https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/match/54239--kosice-vs-spartak-moskva/ (I know this because Spartak Moscow and Dynamo Kyiv are historic rivals, ironically fans of Dynamo were friends with the fans of Zenit St.Peterburh for long time before putin came).
  20. I am afraid, we are going the same way
  21. The story continues. Russians (including the president of their Canoe federation) are celebrating winning C1 quota by Petrov. Are there any comments from the Canoe federation of Spain?
  22. Some humour from ICF. That is the best photofinish I have ever seen )))) May be the next new discipline is underwater kayaking? ))
