  1. men's -73kg, Olympic Quota Places next in line: couple of big upsets Today... first, Rizki Juniansyah overtook his teammate Rahmat Abdullah in the competition, in the OQR and stole from him the Total WR, which means that he will go to Paris instead of the big favorite for the Gold Medal until a few minutes ago second, the great Shi Zhiyong missed out on Today's Gold and most likely also on the chance to get his 3rd consecutive Olympic Title then, quite a few moves have been registered in the OQR among those who were in any case already qualified finally, MirKo Zanni, bronze medallist in Tokyo, dropped out of the qualifying position thanks to the big improvement by Julio Ruben Mayora Perna
  2. men's -73kg Gold: Rizki Juniansyah (total: 365kg WR) Silver: Shi Zhiyong (total: 356kg) Bronze: Rahmat Erwin Abdullah (total: 355kg) Full Results https://iwf.sport/results/results-by-events/?event_id=599
  3. awful job by the team and the federation first, they basically didn't set any internal competition to these guys, despite having a lot of lifters that could have done it (and in case, being a useful replacement to the veterans) then, they thought the early effort was enough and didn't push too much for an improvement imho, those guys who are now just out (but maybe they still have a chance after the reallocations here and there) really don't deserve to go to Paris I'm really annoyed by what the federation has done in the last couple of years
  4. if the IOC recognized cheerleading as a sport (and we already have breakdance and many more things of that kind at the Games), why not pole dancing?
  5. men's -73kg, Halftime standings man, this is getting hot and exciting
  6. that was a wasted chance... IIHF at that time was available to change the rules and allow to play with a full NHL team, but our federation did reject the option and still played with a weak and old team, the last stint of the last semi-decent generation of Italo-North American players after that, the big black hole just swallowed us now, as I wrote, and Hockey just can't stay in the same sentence
  7. it's live on the Olympic Channel (if it doesn't show up, it means that you're in a Country where weightliftinghouse.com has the streaming rights, but it's a pay site, so, you need a vpn -I normally use the Indian vpn and it works well with the Olympic Channel)
  8. Hungarian Swimming Champs will be aired here every day @ 5 p.m. CET (most likely they will be free, no need for a vpn -but still, be prepared to use one) https://mediaklikk.hu/duna-world-elo/
  9. nobody can help in ice hockey...not even "that One" leaving high in the Sky and Hockey just can't stay in the same sentence
  10. yeah, and Burdisso clocked 50.8 at the Olympics and when we won the world gold in Budapest...but I wouldn't say they're capable of repeating themselves constantly on that level...it's easier to see them being the black hole of their respective teams I'm never gonna trust them (especially the Italian fly specialist, whoever he's gonna be in Paris), it's always gonna be a coin toss

  12. given what and can offer in the fly's leg, I think they have the silver medal pretty safe even with an average stint...and if they can find a good leg, they might even think about putting the under extreme pressure
