  9. after the early effort to keep the series closed, Köln just disappeared and lost 3 consecutive games by the same humiliating score of 7-0 in many years I've been following hockey, it's the first time I see such a dramatic and protract downfall by a team in the final series

  12. Tomorrow, instead of the traditional mixed relay, a completely new individual race format will be on stage: the socalled 3km knockout sprint, where 3 rounds (heats, semifinals and finals) will be contested to crown the winner I'm very curious to see what happens, even if this kind of competition imho is completely against the spirit of long distance open water swimming in other words, bring back the good old 25km races instead of these new fuckin' stupid formats!!!

  21. back to the mat...and finally! finally!!! Christian Parlati could show his class through an entire day of fighting since the day when he won the junior world title this is his first senior major championship, hopefully the first of many
  22. I don't like to make it a general statement from an individual fault (for instance, Today Arbuzov played a smart and truly fair game and won a more than deserved gold medal) however, yes, some Russians are quite rude (to say the least) on the mat and should be kept more at bay before they get someone injured Yesterday Lavrentev went beyond any acceptable limit on and off the mat (and I don't know if it's worse playing dirty on the mat or being unfair off the mat, according to the strict judo protocol) and should pay for that, not get just a verbal warning

  24. NLA Playoffs The Finals (Best-of-7 Series) Game #5: Lausanne HC (1) - ZSC Lions Zürich (2) 2-3 (2-1, 0-1, 0-1) ZSC Lions Zürich win the series 4-1 and are once again the Swiss Champions!
  25. truly, truly unsportsmanlike, disgusting behaviour by Danil Lavrentev during and after the gold medal match of the men's -73kg he should have been DQed already during the fight and instead he was allowed to play the dirtiest game and win an undeserved gold medal first, and then he also taunted his opponent after the end of the match (which should have resulted once again in a DQ) but he just got a simple verbal warning for all of that given that also the previous times he faced Manuel Lombardo in a couple of last year Gran Slam's GMMs he didn't act fair at all (in one of the fights he intentionally tried to break Lombardo's arm, luckily without success), IJF and EJU shouldn't be so soft on him...as he's not only an instigator, but also dangerous to his opponents him before it's too late and he ruins someone's career
