  3. yeah, and now with the new Italian law on the ius sanguinis citizenship it's also a lot harder to be eligible for our passport (and National team for what concerns the sport competitions)
  4. Adem Asil won (with margin) the Gold medal in the men's All-Around competition at the European Champs Leo Saladino won the Silver medal head of Krisztofer Meszaros, who got the Bronze medal disappointing results for the gymnasts, with Abbadini only 11th (he won bronze last year) and Macchiati just closing the ranking https://results.smartscoring.com/live-results/7934c8eb-30ab-4c0b-8616-21b764023cd9/result
  5. I think we're still a good (great) bat and a good (great) bowler short of the top 2 teams in the final round, but who knows? I guess we've had some good injections lately and we're on the rising curve (meanwhile the other 2 aren't)
  6. you're really a great fan of them, I see... not that I don't agree with you, but still, many of these guys made me win my fantasy league twice in a row (and finish 2nd this season), so, I just can't blame all of them...just those not on my team p.s. the problem is that if they don't win again, it's gonna be Edmonton, aka the worst ad for hockey... they're just a 2/3-guy-team with no good goalies, no defense and a bunch of ordinary players beside the McDavid & Draisaitl scoring machine, just trying to outscore the opponents as their only plan
  7. back-to-back-to-back appearance at the Stanley Cup Finals for the Florida Panthers they just crashed the Carolina Hurricanes 4 games to 1 in the Eastern Conference Final and now they've to wait how the Western Conference Final ends up to know their opponent (Edmonton is currently leading 3 games to 1 against Dallas, which means that most likely we will have a re-match of last year's Finals)
  8. Manila Esposito just won the gold medal for the second time in a row in the women's All-Around competition at the European Champs Alba Petisco got the silver medal (way behind Esposito) and Ana Barbosu won the bronze medal https://results.smartscoring.com/live-results/2720a32e-47a2-4fe6-9671-c7d0bc8017c5/result later on, the men's All-Around competition
  9. sweet revenge for the swimmers, after Yesterday they were outclassed by the rivals still, the truly important race was just missed by Taddeucci and badly lost by the men
  10. 2025 Open Water European Championships ( Stari Grad) women's 5km Gold: Ginevra Taddeucci Silver: Viktoria Mihalyvari Bronze: Maria De Valdes Alvarez Full Results https://europeanaquatics.org/open-water-swimming-2025/schedule-results/#/result/OWS/ST/W/5KM---------------/FNL-/000100-- men's 10km Gold: Gregorio Paltrinieri Silver: David Betlehem Bronze: Kristof Rasovszky Full Results https://europeanaquatics.org/open-water-swimming-2025/schedule-results/#/result/OWS/ST/M/5KM---------------/FNL-/000100--
  11. 2025 Open Water European Championships ( Stari Grad) women's 10km Gold: Viktoria Mihalyvari Silver: Ginevra Taddeucci Bronze: Lea Boy Full Results https://europeanaquatics.org/open-water-swimming-2025/schedule-results/#/result/OWS/ST/W/10KM--------------/FNL-/000100-- men's 10km Gold: Kristof Rasovszky Silver: Logan Fontaine Bronze: Marc-Antoine Olivier Full Results https://europeanaquatics.org/open-water-swimming-2025/schedule-results/#/result/OWS/ST/M/10KM--------------/FNL-/000100--
  12. no chance if both competitions stay on the same day (as it should be...as iconic as she is as an athlete, it's not fair to make up the schedule just to allow her to go once again for the multi-sport gold)
  13. however, in the new Mixed Team event, Germany won the gold medal on Home soil, beating Great Britain in the final, meanwhile Italy defeated France for bronze https://results.smartscoring.com/live-results/7934c8eb-30ab-4c0b-8616-21b764023cd9/result
  14. it's more about tactics than actual skill it's a farce that nobody asked for tbh, they should be free to choose from all 6/4 disciplines, but, better, this event shouldn't even exist!
  15. yeah, very little interest...at least here however, in the men's Team event, comfortable Gold Medal for ahead of just edged out the Home Nation for bronze https://results.smartscoring.com/live-results/7934c8eb-30ab-4c0b-8616-21b764023cd9/result in the All-Around prelims Noe Seifert was slightly better than Krisztofer Meszaros Luke Whitehouse was 3rd way behind https://results.smartscoring.com/live-results/7934c8eb-30ab-4c0b-8616-21b764023cd9/result
  16. 2025 European Championships ( Leipzig) won the women's Team event at the European Championships for the 3rd straight year (4th title in total) despite a new team (among the girls that won the silver medal in Paris last year, only Manila Esposito and Alice D'Amato are in this year's team) and many mistakes (5 falls in the various excercises), they easily beat the Home Nation and https://results.smartscoring.com/live-results/2720a32e-47a2-4fe6-9671-c7d0bc8017c5/result despite a fall at the Vault, Manila Esposito was the best in the women's All-Around prelims ahead of Ana Barbosu and Helen Kevric https://backend.europeangymnastics.com/sites/default/files/paragraph/age-group-competition-info/competition-results/SENIORS - Individual - Qualification AllAroundResultsWag_8.pdf
  17. this US team!!! p.s. gotta tell you...the USA have won the world hockey champs among the men only twice, and one of those wins were actually the 1960 Olympic Games the only "standalone" world title for them came in 1933...yes, guys! you read it correctly: 1933...good 92 years ago and guess what also happened in 1933? Oh, yes! you're right! an ordinary man with moustache was crowned (that time, up North in Germany) do you notice some similarities with 2025?
  18. 😱😱😱😱😱
  19. and nothing...in the medal races Pianosi just can't perform as he normally does in the fleet racing in a week where he really outclassed Maeder in the fleet prelims, Today he just messed up everything and was lucky to come home with the 2nd place (which is always the European title, at least)
  20. Formula Kite European Open Championships 2025 ( Urla) women's Event Gold: Lauriane Nolot Silver: Lily Young Bronze: Lysa Caval men's Event Gold: Maximilian Maeder Silver: Riccardo Pianosi (European Champion) Bronze: Gian Andrea Stragiotti (European Silver) 4th Place: Cameron Maramenides (European Bronze) Full Results & Rankings https://www.kiteclasses.org/2025europeans

  24. WTF??? 12-Yr-Old Yu Zidi Crushes 2:10.63 In Women’s 200 IM At Chinese Nationals Yesterday, we reported that 12-year-old Yu Zidi set a new lifetime best of 2:12.52 in the women’s 200m IM semi-final at the 2025 Chinese National Championships. Well, buckle up because the youngster just destroyed that already other worldly swim with a new personal best of 2:10.63. For perspective, Yu’s previous swim obliterated the current U.S. National Age Group Records for girls and boys. Teagan O’Dell owns the girls’ NAG at 2:18.69 while Richard Poplawski owns the boys in 2:13.59. Flash forward to tonight and Yu split 27.47/32.98/39.44/30.74 to earn silver behind winner Yu Yiting who grabbed gold in 2:08.67. Yu easily cleared the World Aquatics ‘A’ standard of 2:12.83 needed to qualify for the World Championships. She now ranks 14th in the world on the season. credits: swimswam.com
