  1. 3.4km, of I remember correctly
  2. actually, she was in Singapore last week, when she was 14th in the individual 100m freestyle and she did even win the bronze medal in the women's 4*100m medley relay (she swam the last leg, of course) in terms of pure swimming, she's a class apart in this discipline

  5. if they want the GMM in the early morning (LA time), why they don't do like in the Softball tournament? just have BMM and GMM in 2 different, consecutive days (with a 6-team tournament there's a lot of time to organize the schedule properly) it would benefit the teams playing for gold, having an extra-day rest before the decisive act
  6. mixed Team Trap Gold: Slovakia 1 (Zuzana Rehak Stefecekova & Erik Varga) @hckošice Silver: Spain 1 (Fatima Galvez & Alberto Fernandez) Bronze: France (Carole Cormenier & Antonin Desert) Full Results & Rankings https://www.issf-sports.org/competitions/3294/results
  7. Laura Rogora is the first woman in history to complete a onsight mode* route of 8c+ (the following step, 9a, is the most difficult degree of climbing ever completed in the onsight mode -and only 2 male climbers did it; 9c is the most difficult degree of climbing overall...just to give you an idea of how amazing is the result achieved by Rogora) she did it in France, at Les Gorges du Loup on the route called Ultimate Sacrifice *technically, it means that the climber has never watched anybody else attempting the climb, that he/she has never tested/had a warmup on it before and he/she's done it entirely straight at the first attempt (no second chances on any passage)

  11. Crouser's wild card has priority over the DL winner's, but if he's not competing for any reason, then the USA can use the WC from the DL (if they get it, it might be also another guy, not necessarily Kovacs)
  12. if he wins the Diamond League he can still grab a spot in the meantime, at the Italian Nationals, Leo Fabbri threw a 22.82m (world leading mark) yesterday the only other decent result came from Mattia Furlani in the men's Long Jump, he won with 8.26m, maybe also the 13.20 by Lorenzo Simonelli in the men's 110m HS it's worth a mention nothing else...
  13. team https://www.fidal.it/content/Tampere-91-azzurri-per-gli-Europei-under-20/179275 very crowded (91 athletes) and quite competitive team all eyes on Kelly Ann Doualla (women's 100m), of course (shame on her coach and on the team's official for not letting her start in the LJ, which she might even win) but there are also a few other stars in the making like Giuseppe Di Sabato and Serena Di Fabio (should be an easy double in the race walking thanks to those 2), Elisa Valensin (women's 200m), Alessia Succo (women's 100m HS), Daniele Inzoli (men's LJ) and Diego Mancini (men's 400m HS)

  18. they've had a crazy schedule for the entire tournament: mixing individual and team events, lots of empty days not sure why?

  21. given the new racing system* and the fact that there are only 7 boats, the 8+ only need 2 competition days: qualifying races + final *for those who're not familiar with it yet: now the prelims are contested with timed heats (the top 12/24 advancing, depending on how many boats are competing; with 7 boats only, the top 6 advance straight to the final) and then there are no more repechage heats, but only (quarterfinals, if it's the case), semis and finals
