  3. do you mean Laura Rogora? she's very good (actually, junior world champion) not only in Boulder, but also in Lead (where she almost made the final at the Innsbruck Worlds last year)... by the way, I hope she doesn't leave the sport before she can actually win something (I recently read an interview where she was saying that she left her birthplace -Rome- because she didn't feel happy anymore there...she wanted to live in the mountains, because she dreams of rock climbing...she is way more interested in climbing the natural walls rather than competing on artificial walls...and this makes me think she will never get what she might reach in the competitive Sport Climbing)...
  4. He and Renato Canova are really a sort of "miracle guys"...for those who believe in miracles, of course...
  5. good luck to Natalie...hope everything's going well...
  6. yes, it's a new rule brought in with this new format...and using a replacement, it costs "only" 20 pens, which doesn't kill your chances at 100% to me, this new format is better than the previous one...I'm always against discarded scores...if you're competing, your score must count...
  7. Chicago Marathon, men's race results 1st, Lawrence Cherono, 2:05:45 2nd, Dejene Debela, 2:05:46 3rd, Asefa Mengstu, 2:05:48 what a finish among the men! all the final results can be found in this page: https://results.chicagomarathon.com/2019/?lang=EN_CAP&pid=start
  8. Brigid Kosgei just won the women's race at the Chicago Marathon in 2h14mins04secs, which is the new women's Marathon World Record (and this is a real record, not the farce of the sub-2 hours by Eliud Kipchoge yesterday in Vienna, made with laser guidance and 37 pace makers running only just over a kilometer each)...

  11. I hope it's like you wrote...but I fear that disciplinary sanctions would stay also under the IOC governed quali and actual Olympic Tournament... we'll see... frankly, I didn't want to write anything about the match itself because it's obvious that I'm biased (it's always a plot against Italy also when we're not involved at all ), but c'mon! for what reason the Welsh team felt that they had to appeal that verdict? Fontijn dominated the bout from start to finish, Price was only launching herself against the Dutch girls and hold for the entire match and she landed only 1 clean shot in the whole fight (in the last 15 seconds of the 3rd round) and already the judges came out with a close 3-2 score for Fontijn... and still they found the way to overturn that already crazy enough result in an absolute scandal...
  12. and finally comes the big surprise! Price's appeal has been accepted and the final outcome in the -75kg class has been overturned!!! so, in the end, Gold Medal for Wales...and Fontijn (and the whole Dutch delegation) refused to take part into the victory ceremony!!! sanctions incoming for the Netherlands and Fontijn, I fear...
  13. not to mention that Russia obviously won quite easily the final Medal Table with 3 Gold Medals (and more side dish)... they were followed by 7 different Nations with "only" 1 Gold Medal each, among which China (3 Silver medals and 1 Bronze) and Turkey (2 Silver medals) were the most successful in terms of "minor" medal placings...
  14. 2019 AIBA Women's Boxing World Championships, Medallists Recap -48kg Gold: Ekaterina Paltceva Silver: Manju Rani Bronze: Chuthamat Raksat & Demie Resztan -51kg* Gold: Liliya Aetbaeva Silver: Busenaz Cakiroglu Bronze: Pang Chol Mi & Mery Kom Hmangte -54kg Gold: Huang Hsiao-Wen Silver: Caroline Cruveillier Bronze: Jamuna Boro & Mikiah Kreps -57kg* Gold: Nesthy Petecio Silver: Liudmila Vorontsova Bronze: Lin Yu-Ting & Karriss Artingstall -60kg* Gold: Beatriz Iasmin Ferreira Silver: Wang Cong Bronze: Mira Potkonen & Rashida S. Q. Ellis -64kg Gold: Dou Dan Silver: Angela Carini Bronze: Ekaterina Dynnik & Milana Safronova -69kg* Gold: Busenaz Surmeneli Silver: Yang Liu Bronze: Lovlina Borgohain & Saadat Dalgatova -75kg* Gold: Lauren Louise Price** Silver: Nouchka Mireille Fontijn** Bronze: Tammara Thibeault & Khadija Mardi -81kg Gold: Zenfira Magomedalieva Silver: Elif Guneri Bronze: Wang Lina & Nguyen Thi Huong +81kg Gold: Danielle Perkins Silver: Yang Xiaoli Bronze: Dina Islambekova & Katsiaryna Kavaleva * = Olympic Classes ** = Fontijn actually won the Gold Medal bout, but the result was appealed by Wales and finally it was overturned, gifting the Welsh team of the Gold Medal and relegating the Netherlands to the Silver Medal position... p.s. just for the memories, the original judges of the Price vs Fontijn bout were from Philippines, Belarus, North Korea, China and Sri Lanka...
  15. the last bout... Danielle Perkins almost KOed Yang Xiaoli (she did even knocked her down once...she literally destroyed her)...and the judges (all 5) still managed to score the bout "only" 30-27 for the American fighter...
  16. yes, and finally the Russian girl went on to win a really undeserved Gold medal (also her win in today's final bout was quite controversial)... and apparently the Welsh team appealed against Price's loss to Fontijn in the -75kg Gold Medal match... they stopped the victory ceremony after presenting the 2 Bronze medallists and delayed the whole presentation to a later moment (right now we're just watching the last of today's fights...there's no much time left to take a definitive decision)...
  17. yay! first ever Italian podium in the WSL circuit! pity that Leo wasn't able to take part into the ISA World Games because of that fuc*in' shoulder injury that ruined most of his season)... hopefylly, he's going to get an Olympic spot next year (even if it's going to be extremely difficult)...

  23. sorry, for not answering earlier...but I had to go preparing the dinner for my dad and myself... could you give me some more details? p.s. Igor Cassina (commentating for our National TV) said the opposite...it was close, but Lodadio was better in his opinion...
  24. meh I'm not an expert, but to my eyes Lodadio's exercise was better than Colak's... what do you think about it?
  25. the rules are simple...only 1 boat per NOC can qualify (unless a NOC wins 2 events, which didn't happen), so all the other non winning boats from those NOCs must be "discarded" from the final rankings...
