  1. Boxing, women's Flyweight...for Gold, it's a no brainer, even if it comes from a biased/corrupted bunch of judges & officials. however, Nicola Adams is definitely better than the Bulgarian and therefore she's my pick. for Bronze, Cakiroglu is my pick, but I don't think there's much difference between all of the girls involved, they're just a bunch of average fighters. Fencing, women's Team Sabre...one of the easiest picks ever, Russia is way ahead of the rest of the field. for Bronze, France are definitely the best remaining team (actually, they're better than too, as the Ukranians can only rely on the "monster" named Olga Kharlan plus a group of average specialists). Diving, men's Synchronized 3m Springboard...not even to asked... China is just on another planet.
  2. in the meantime, in the women's team sabre we're gonna have the most unexpected gold medal match ever... Azerbajian vs Bulgaria @Federer91 if someone put a few bucks on that, he's gonna change his life soon...
  3. I wouldn't say "amateur", but it's clear that he doesn't have the same technical skills that the top specialists. Yesterday he took advantage of home enthusiasm and a couple of home calls, but, more than anything, by a favourable draw and a lot of mental mistakes by those who faced him. Baher actually wasted a big chance (as Gallo did in the semifinal match) to turn his day from good to great.
  4. yeah...but at least you've been capable of taking advantage of home soil enthusiasm...not every Nation/athlete can... p.s. tbh, a couple of "home calls" have been registered in today's QTF/SF/FIN...

  10. we can change the title of the thread...NK Skiskyting should be more appropriate...
  11. foggy and with wind gusts... if they really decide to get the race started, it's gonna be fun...
  12. the men's DH (and also the other speed races) was actually in Val d'Isere on the Face de Bellevard track... the women's races of the 1992 Olympics were held in Meribel, but since then track has changed a lot (there's not a first steep slope at the beginning and also some of the mid and lower parts have been redesigned).
  13. Gut gone... by the way, I think the early numbers did the damage today... something has changed, there's no way all the late starters are losing so much in the top part of the track...
  14. and Curtoni underperforming big time, once again...
  15. Johnson down...and she wasn't that bad until then...
  16. because she hasn't the gliding skills for a DH like this. don't forget she had the 35th split time in the top part of the SG she won on Wednesday. meanwhile she's the defending champion in the Parallel sh*t.
  17. the Swiss girls look to have the best skis on the top part of the track.
  18. disaster... from bad to worse... she's never been in contention...I fear Fanchini's death has hit harder than expected...
  19. so far, good ride by Jasmin Flury in the women's Downhill... and now let's call the cardiologist...my heart rate is already out of control...
