  2. unlucky draw and disappointing performances plagued the Italian team... in the women's Epee, Santuccio and Rizzi had to face each other in the round of 16, meanwhile Navarria and Fiamingo were eliminated in the early rounds (in particular, Fiamingo got humiliated by Vitalis by a score of 15-3 after a truly irritating match) in the men's Foil, 3 guys are still in contention for the medals (and there's no internal affair match in the quarters, so they could all of them get a medal) on the other hand, Macchi lost badly in the round of 16 vs Choupenitch...he was leading 11-8 and then had a blackout and took 4 consecutive hits in very few seconds...finally, he tried to comeback from 12-14 down, but a pair of bad ref calls -and unfair behaviour by the Czech guy not punished as it should have been- sealed the deal for Choupenitch and left Macchi empty handed)
  3. women's semifinals Angeline Favre vs Auriane Mallo-Breton Alberta Santuccio vs Irina Embrich
  4. men's Foil quarterfinals Alessio Foconi vs Alexander Kahl Maxime Pauty vs Guillaume Bianchi Tommaso Marini vs Leszek Rajski Alexander Choupenitch vs Maximilien Chastanet
  5. Day #1 featuring women's Epee and men's Foil men's early rounds still running, all the action is available on Youtube (Fencing Vision page) Medal Session (semis and finals) starts at 6.30 p.m. CET
  6. and also this last world cup stage is over... now it's only about the Olympic Games in Paris (Châteauroux, for what concerns the Shooting events)...can't wait!
  7. mixed Team Skeet Gold: USA 1 (Austen Jewell Smith & Vincent Hancock) Silver: Kuwait (Eman Al Shamaa & Abdullah Al Rashidi) Bronze: Sweden (Victoria Larsson & Marcus Svensson) Final Ranking and Results https://www.issf-sports.org/competitions/venue/csevent.ashx?cseventid=19977
  8. oh, I forgot him... well, at this point I can only say "I don't know if the place is nominative or for the NOC" update...I just cheked that out, the places won at the world champs are for the NOC, so Timbretti Gugiu might replace Sargent Larsen if needed, but the last word is obviously up to our coaching staff
  9. Today's Finals men's 400m IM Apostolos Papastamos, 4.10.83 Balazs Hollo, 4.11.51 Gabor Szombori, 4.11.70 women's 4*200m Free Relay 7.51.83 7.52.92 8.01.58 men's 4*200m Free Relay 7.08.04 7.09.59 7.09.73
  10. not sure, but in any case we don't have another specialist good enough to go to Paris in this event so, it's the same
  11. might be forced to give up one of their quota places in the men's Individual 10m Platform, since Andreas Sargent Larsen is going to be prosecuted for stalking (and other charges) this is the (very sad) story (it's in Italian, but google could help) https://www.oasport.it/2024/06/tuffi-andreas-sargent-larsen-a-processo-per-atti-persecutori-sullex-fidanzata-a-rischio-parigi-2024/
  12. and now, park the bus at perfection!
  13. great win for Bacosi, she just hammered all the US contingent psychologically, this is very, very important given that the Olympics are just one month and a half away I think she's one of our best chances to win gold in Paris
  14. women's Skeet Gold: Diana Bacosi Silver: Dania Jo Vizzi Bronze: Austen Jewell Smith Final Ranking and Results https://www.issf-sports.org/competitions/venue/csevent.ashx?cseventid=19973
  15. men's Skeet Gold: Jesper Hansen Silver: Conner Lynn Prince Bronze: Rashid Saleh Al-Athba Final Ranking and Results https://www.issf-sports.org/competitions/venue/csevent.ashx?cseventid=19974
  16. are you using this page? https://www.eurovisionsport.com/ maybe trying with a European VPN? however, the evening sessions are also available here (always with local VPNs): ORF Sport+ (Austrian TV) https://tv.orf.at/program/orfs/index.html Duna World (Hungarian TV) https://mediaklikk.hu/dunaworld/ possibly, there are also other European Networks available, but I can't check right now
  17. OK, let`s see what a trial court thinks about it in any case, all those who read the rules without taking into consideration the "consecutio temporum" should go back to school (or in jail, if they do it intentionally )
  18. once AIN quota is reallocated, the rest comes automatically, like a waterfall...
  19. no, if he gets the WC quota, the continental place is the one to be reallocated because of that rule...the world champs were held months earlier just try to imagine the timeline...AZE gets the 2023 reallocation, than in 2024 they can't get that 2nd quota and another reallocation comes in play
  20. unless he destroys them all, like in Doha (remember, he swam the WR in the relay's first leg, not in the individual race)
  21. I don't really think so Bayramov got his original quota at the continetal tournament...that's the quota place to be reallocated if he gets the WC place (which is obvious, since he is the 1st in line that didn't get a WC quota) p.s. however I won't be surprised if don't get that OQP, it's obvious that UWW cheaters now have our Country in the target for any possible form of disrespect I only hope that our NOC would fight until the end, going also to the Swiss Civil Court if necessary
  22. that's absolutely respected...AZE only gets Bayramov's quota in any case this is not a problem the only question is the order of attribution of that quota place
  23. yeah, in fact I expect to be not so good as people might think after the Trimetazidine controversy meanwhile depends too much on Chalmers being perfectly healthy and in top shape, which at the moment is a big "if" we'll see...surely, on paper this is going to be one of the races to watch, with 5 strong medal candidates
  24. because the world champs were held earlier and have the priority...once Sidakov is out, the first not qualified athlete in that tournament (the key is this...the same tournament where the quota to be reallocated was obtained) is Bayramov and once the Azeri gets the WC quota, then his continental qualification tournament's effort is void, useless...and the first in line in that continental tournament is Chamizo, who is the only man entitled to get that quota place we'll see what happens, but if I were Italy (and any other Nation in the same position), I'd go to each and every court level available to defend that right
  25. well, then there was room for invalidate UWW's decision...I'm surprised that the US wrestler didn't fight for her right at the time the words are more than clear: "the same event where the qualification was obtained" means only one thing, no room for interpretation and Sidakov qualified at the world champs = next in line, Bayramov; then, Bayramov qualified at the continental tournament = next in line, Chamizo any different outcome is definitely in contrast with the rules
