  4. he has the OQT, he swam 1.56.x in a random world cup meet last Winter in any case, he officially confirmed he's going to swim also the 200m Back after Today's effort in Rome in the 50m Fly (once in her life, Miss Caporale has been useful)
  5. women's Team Foil Gold: Italy Silver: Poland Bronze: Hungary Semifinals Poland b. France 41-40 Italy b. Hungary 45-17 Bronze Medal Match Hungary b. France 45-43 Gold Medal Match Italy b. Poland 45-27 Full Ranking & Results https://www.fencingworldwide.com/en/4578-2023/results/
  6. 1. not even close, but the men's football team fail hurts, same for the men's basketball (who isn't gonna earn a spot in the upcoming OQT, let's be honest) among the individual sports, women's team archery and, above all, the 2nd relay team in the athletics race walking event are the 2 lost qualifications I regret the most Chamizo's scandal in Wrestling, instead, goes beyond...there's nothing to regret, there's something to take revenge (with blood) 2/3. I already exposed myself more than once...at least Breaking, BMX Freestyle, Artistic Swimming, Rhythmic Gymnastics and Rugby Sevens out; Karate (Kumite only), Baseball/Softball, Cricket T20, Roller Skating, Biathlon and Skiing and Water Ski (Jumping and Slalom only) in plus some smaller changes in the Athletics, Swimming, Road & Track Cycling, Sport Climbing and Racket sports program
  7. however, the afternoon session is set men's Sabre, for Gold: vs ; for Bronze: vs women's Foil, for Gold: vs ; for Bronze: vs
  8. against it was Samele's fault...he had 2 awful assaults putting the rest of the team under heavy pressure and Gallo did show that he's not the man who can save our ass when entering a match late...he must be a starter Torre, instead, did quite well vs , but the problem is that our guys just disappear when they see the name Covaliu, as if his father was still on the piste p.s. Szilagyi is no longer the man he used to be...age is showing him a big prize...we shouldn't be so worried to face rather than on home soil and extra motivation...the only team we can't really cope with is because of their style
  9. no, I still think he's going to swim the distance in Paris (and shock the world, taking gold and WR), but I don't understand his strategy in these months, he never took a shot in any official race, he's going to race the Olympic event with no feedback we'll see what happens...I still trust him because he's already shown that he and his coach know what to do to be in the best shape when it really matters
  10. if this is her standard, the 800m free are going to be an amazing race to watch in Paris...it gives hopes to quite a few contenders however, I think she wasn't in full rest here, she doesn't need that to qualify for the US team in her special disciplines
  11. I still think the Olympic medals in the women's 400m IM will be closer to the 4.30 dead mark than many people expect right now
  12. Ceccon not swimming the 200m Back Today, he chose the 50m Fly I don't really know what to expect from him in Paris in that race...I mean, imho, given his speed base and his style, he could go and swim 1.52 and destroy the field, but he basically never seriously swam the distance in full rest and who knows if his actual performance can be close to his potential? surely, I don't understand his pre-Games strategy
  13. I'm still asking myself how did qualify in the women's sabre and didn't? the men's epee it's a different beast...there are so many teams more or less on the same level and it's really, really difficult to get into the top 4 (5) of the ranking I wouldn't say they underperformed...they just missed out on a very complicated task
  14. it's quite a complicated sport...I think he has chances, but a bad start in any given run can cost you the day it's one of those events where a reasonable prediction is almost impossible
  15. 3 quota places for Beatrice Colli in the women's Speed and Camilla Moroni + Laura Rogora in the women's Boulder & Lead Combined unfortunately, they don't stand a chance to get a medal...actually, I don't think they can get a top 8 finish
  16. Day #6 Finals men's 200m Fly Kristof Milàak, 1.54.43 Krzysztof Chmielewski, 1.54.78 Michal Chmielewski, 1.55.51 women's 50m Freestyle Petra Senanszky, 24.56 Theodora Drakou, 24.59 Julie Kepp Jensen, 24.79 men's 50m Breaststroke Huseyin Emre Sakci, 26.92 Noel De Geus, 26.93 Kristian Pitshugin, 27.02 women's 200m IM Anastasia Gorbenko, 2.09.75 Lea Polonsky, 2.11.18 Barbora Seemanova, 2.11.48 women's 100m Backstroke Adela Piskorska, 59.79 Danielle Hill, 1.00.19 Roos Vanotterdijk, 1.00.58 mixed 4*200m Freestyle Relay 7.30.11 7.35.08 7.35.56
  17. yeah, that's a fair point...but still, it doesn't justify such kind of demolition just never entered the match mentally
  18. Trofeo Settecolli ( Rome) Day #2 women's 100m Fly Louise Hansson, 57.34 Rikako Ikee, 57.36 Viola Scotto Di Carlo, 57.87 (OQT, but above the Italian Federation standard) men's 200m Fly Giacomo Carini, 1.54.34 (OQT, going to Paris) Federico Burdisso, 1.55.20 (won't be able to defend his Tokyo 2020 bronze medal in Paris) Alessandro Ragaini, 1.56.28 women's 100m Backstroke Kira Toussaint, 1.00.13 Maaike De Waard, 1.00.33 men's 50m Backstroke Michele Lamberti, 24.40 (= National Record held by Ceccon) Thomas Ceccon, 24.55 women's 400m IM Ellen Walshe, 4.37.18 Sara Franceschi, 4.38.77 Freya Colbert, 4.40.15 men's 400m IM Daiya Seto, 4.09.68 Max Litchfield, 4.14.51 women's 100m Freestyle Sarah Sjostrom, 52.57 (meet record) Siobhan Haughey, 52.78 Anna Hopkin, 53.53 Michelle Coleman, 53.63 Sofia Morini, 53.92 _________ Penny Oleksiak, 53.77 (in the B final) men's 100m Freestyle Alessandro Miressi, 48.08 (meet record) Matthew Richards, 48.45 Guilherme Santos, 48.80 women's 50m Breaststroke Benedetta Pilato, 29.71 Sophie Hansson, 30.68 men's 50m Breaststroke Nicolò Martinenghi, 26.65 (26.56 in the heats) Ludovico Blu Art Viberti, 26.80 Simone Cerasuolo, 27.05 Adam Peaty, 27.16 (27.14 in the heats) women's 800m Freestyle Simona Quadarella, 8.18.95 (meet record) Isabel Marie Gose, 8.19.20 men's 800m Freestyle Lukas Maertens, 7.43.52 Luca De Tullio, 7.45.80 (OQT, going to Paris) Daniel Wiffen, 7.46.83 Florian Wellbrock, 7.48.07 Guilherme Costa, 7.50.55 _____ Gregorio Paltrinieri, 8.02.98 (15th place overall)

  21. no chance, until they upload them on the UWW website the official site of the tournament is set on the 2018 results and our NF's website is just useless
  22. of course we could find skeletons in every Nation's wardrobe and obviously I know the rules for repeated doping offences but since we can't rewrite history going back in time for all those faults (but I think a reset of all world records in the sports where some of the old USSR and GDR and Balco/NOP's are still there should be done), I'd like to see at least the most recent and biggest scandal officially discovered to be punished with some exemplary ban
  23. got both of Today's Bronze medals in the men's Epee, the gold medal match is between the 2 historical arch-rivals...it's once again vs
  24. 24 6 years of officially discovered State doping * 4 year-ban for every year of guilt = 24 year-ban
