  1. I have only recently really discovered this song. For me this was peak Croatian entry at Eurovision.
  2. What's up with this extremely annoying clapping in the lead competition? Is the German audience taking notes from the Italian fans?
  3. SVT play is my last hope. They better have their usual high quality playback...
  4. Are we really ranked higher than Slovakia? This is *hockey*...
  5. If Bol can run 49.44... Then what to expect from McLaughlin??
  6. For some random reason Munich 2022 youtube channel is not broadcasting tonight's session. Only available at the Eurovision channel, but that one has no playback. So I can't even catch up on the events. Talk about losing an interest in something...
  7. Australia made their final selection: Andrew Hoy and Vassily de Lassos – 13-year-old Anglo-Arab gelding (Jaguar Mail x Illusion Perdue, by Jalienny), owned by Paula and David Evans, groomed by Clémentine Girardeau Shenae Lowings and Bold Venture – 12-year-old Thoroughbred gelding (Devaraja x Royal Zam, by Zamoff), owned by the rider, groomed by Olivia Barton Kevin McNab and Scuderia 1918 Don Quidam – 14-year-old KWPN gelding (Quidam x Nairoby, by Amethist), owned by Scuderia 1918 and Emma McNab, OR Willunga – 15-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding (Olympic Lux x Ringmoylan Beauty, by Coevers Diamond Boy), owned by Samia Murgian and Emma McNab, groomed by Lucy Hartley Shane Rose and Virgil – 17-year-old Warmblood gelding (Vivant x unknown dam), owned by Niki Rose and Michelle Hasibar, groomed by Jamie Atkinson Hazel Shannon and Willingapark Clifford – 17-year-old Thoroughbred gelding (Passing Shot x unknown dam), owned by Terry Snow, groomed by Bronte Buttel
  8. Climbing commentator is one of those who believes their sport is end-all and be-all of all sports. How inventive (and not at all annoying)! He also seems to have a weird obession with beach volleyball. "Oh, look, people from the beach volleyball stands are watching climbing!". He claimed this at least twice during my limited coverage this week. Like, who cares?
  9. Yes, Poland will be the favorite for the Group C qualification event next year, but a challenge may come from the Czech Republic or even Hungary.
  10. Yeah, I think India is aiming for exactly that. The team qualification. Much like China started investing after their standout individual result in Rio, India is now doing the same. Several domestic riders have popped up in Europe after Tokyo, slowly climbing through the levels. However, their chances of qualification will mostly depend on how many Group G teams qualify next month.
  11. Top 7 (excluding France) will qualify. Let's say are the frontrunners. But anything can happen in eventing, so have a definite chance too. Even qualifying would not be hugely surprising. No real chance - . Austria is actually fairly solid, but with just three riders their chance will be minimal.
  12. Yeah, I think the British will counter-appeal here. And then the French will appeal again. Maybe we will know the outcome by Saturday.
  13. Very nearly repeated the Super Sunday triple gold of 1972...
  14. Surely the first 100 m final ever where all medalists were 0.01 apart...?
  15. Damn, Volko came close, but.appears to be happy with 4th.
  16. I am afraid he is wrong here. Varga switched to Croatia to compete at the Olympics and World Championships for us (basically after testing positive for steroids..). Tolj was 9 year old at the time. People don't switch nationalities just to train 9 year olds.
  17. Gold for Perković, 6th for Tolj, 8th for Čeko. Yeah, we kind of got spoiled after Day 1...
  18. Breaking his 5 year old PB like it is nothing...
  19. Another false/faulty/unsteady/delayed start...
  20. Čeko made the final 8 in the long jump. Nowhere near the 8 meter mark, per usual this season, but looks like he is quite capable of carrying his shape from domestic competitions to championships.
  21. There is a false start epidemic in Munich.
  22. It's interesting how those manufacturers just can't build magic shoes for the long jump. WR lengths in both genders are totally untouchable.
  23. Wait.... Jacobs is here? I thought he went for the 100% stage fright strategy after Tokyo...
