  3. None of the girls in Azerbaijani group is from Azerbaijan. 2xRussia, Turkey, Estonia and Bulgaria.
  4. Great day for Nordic nations. Finland, Norway, 2xSweden qualify.
  5. 1st day results from Asian regatta http://www.worldrowing.com/mm//Document/General/General/12/26/33/DailyResultsummary22Apr_Neutral.pdf
  6. Bouts for the last quota... -59 vs -66 vs -75 vs -85 vs -98 vs -130 vs
  7. Will we even qualify in wrestling I wonder... Looks like we got tough draws as per usual.
  8. Lighting ceremony was very nice. Speeches? Boring (and unnecessary) as always
  9. But hosts get to choose.
  10. If South Africa drops out though then the quota will go to the next best African nation (Egypt).
  11. You just insulted a Bhutanese archer. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karma_%28archer%29
  12. To keep the thread alive, here is a video from Athens 2004. With some very lively commentary. And a lively performance.
  13. Bahamas and Ecuador in rowing! Thanks to reallocations.
  14. Host quota reallocation explains that mystery. Well done Bahamas!
  15. Well, FIG is not being thorough at all. Tripartite quota is impossible in women's event because no tripartite gymnast competed in 2015. Doesn't take a genius to realize or check that.
  16. qualify in men's event. Last available quota will go to either or
  17. We had that thread in 2012 so don't worry. And it's actually better to name it "wild card thread" rather then "tripartite quotas thread". All tripartite quotas are wild cards, but not all wild cards are tripartite quotas. In tennis and shooting we will have wild cards for non-tripartite nations.
  18. I don't know about that. Their scores weren't particulary high. But I don't know if they need to be for them to qualify.
  19. Nevermind, USA and France are actually already qualified. We already know that 4th continent will come in men's event, this means that USA qualifies. Furthermore, there is only one tripartite place on offer for men's OR women's event. Tripartite quotas can only be assigned to gymnasts that competed at 2015 World Championships. There we no tripartite nations in women's event so France is assured of quota. In men's event we only had Angola at the World Championships (from tripartite nations). If they applied, they will get it, as simple as that.
  20. In the next 1-2 months I guess.
  21. Actually I think that France only needs tripartite not to be allocated. Qualification system says that a total of 4 continents have to be represented in men's OR women's competition. 3 are already qualified and I think it's likely that the 4th continent will be Oceania in men's event.
