Right, women's sprint in the IBU Cup and the decision on whether or not Slovenia has a relay at home tomorrow in the World Cup..

Actually it's OK because Andreja Mali is coming out of retirement for that one race. Sort of like what the British did last year.

I heard that today there should be because apparently IBU is investing more in it since it was a rather big success last year :)

The Brazilian federation guy and the Dutch coach both said there should be live streaming as well, but I haven't found it yet. The Dutch coach said something about on IBU's website, but I didn't see it yet, also not here: http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/ibu/

Half an hour to go to the IBU Cup men's sprint and Junior Cup men's individual, for which I'll probably be assisting the assistant coach by providing her with live timing information on Whatsapp which she will shout on to Caio and Lucas :d

Live stream? Really? Cool! Maybe they just meant live timing though, I'm pretty sure IBU doesn't do livestreams on their site except through Eurovision.

That's awesome! Let me know if I can be of any assistance, though it is unlikely. Haha.

Here's Liechtenstein's Chiara Hasler on tomorrow's start list for the individual in the IBU Junior Cup :)

I've asked Bruna Moura (who is too old to compete) to take a picture of Hasler if she can during the competition (maybe she's too busy though, I know she'll be the 'assistant coach' for Gabi).

Are there any IBU point or qualifying criteria connected with the JWC? I assume not

Hahaha tell her not to be too creepy about it... :p

Great to see Gabi racing and the younger men's generation! The Brazil Biathlon fan club (with 2 members plz join lol) extends its full support!

Personally I'm also supporting Henar, Greece, the British and of course Chiara!

Also it seems the Serbian women are at it again...this should be interesting lol

true, well, it´s hard to judge them, I´m pretty sure the guys do their best in each race, unfortunately our quality and level is poor, but really honnestly I can not blame them, I´m persuated they try their best each race...

Very true. Time to go to bed now. Pretty interesting how Koukalova is starting 62nd. Hoping for Hermann to do well, too!

yes, well, don´t get me wrongly, I´m really happy with his zero, each our guy on points is fine, I´ll be happy with it even if he´ll finish 40th. we need points for the NC :d

Yeah :d Well I think he will and maybe Otcenas if he is lucky. And there's always the pursuit.

It does indeed seem like that.

Though he did hold out against Shipulin

Yeah, but Shipulin gained 12 seconds on him. Needs to work on pacing if he wants to beat Fourcade. I wonder if there's anyone out there who is fully capable of beating Fourcade even when he shoots clear.

Yes, working on the ranking is the hard part because of all the averages and importing the data and stuff. Last season it worked, but they have slightly changed the PDF format now and that's messing up the Excel sheet I had for it :p

And the tables and stuff I made for calculating the points (I even wrote a little program in Python coding language :p ) was mostly for me to know how the Brazilians are doing as soon as possible and especially when I'm at the competition and downloading the PDF's isn't the easiest way :d  (you know, so I can tell them their points and results long before their coach comes up with his tablet and tell them the results, like I did in Obertilliach last season  )

    Hahaha :d

So it's simply the average of the best results of each of the last three trimesters?

But those are the points only for that race, right? They publish them since the beginning of last season if I'm not mistaken, but the actual points list (the "ranking", where all these results are combined and which is so important for qualification spots) is nowhere to be found..

Yeah. It's a shame they don't, but at least we can work them out?

It's better than guessing and checking like we did for the IBU Cup sprints :p Not taking anything away from that, though, it turned out to all be pretty accurate!
