Though to be fair, it's not a bad federation overall in terms of what they do for nations, their communication skills have room for improvement though :d

:d Yeah. I'm half-joking, they seem like a very efficient federation who gets things done. (*most things*)

No, scrap that, I meant "trimester" instead of "semester" :p

I honestly have no idea, but I guess it's something like the same as it is after 3 trimesters. If they would at least publish this list, we could see how they solve this..

Maybe I'll write to them and ask. But they won't respond. Just to screw with people. Because that's what they do. Because they're the IBU.

No, the rules for that say "during the current or preceding semester".

Oh? But 4 trimesters ago would still be the previous semester, no?

It's weird, so if they remove them after 5 trimesters of not competing, but only points 3 trimesters ago count, what would be their IBU points score between 3 and 5?

    Sort of :p

There's one thing I don't get, so are the points only valid for the 3 latest trimesters, or for the 3 latest trimesters that the athlete competed in? Because they only get removed after 5 trimesters not competing, instead of 3. So could someone who scored under 125 four trimesters ago still be considered eligible for the WC, assuming he did not compete in the three trimesters after that?

Sweden was DSQ'ed because of this rule (5.6.e) in the men's relay:

Bruna just told me it was because of the skis (or one of their skis, not sure), so that's a rather amateuristic mistake..

The Koreans were DSQ'ed because they didn't stop after being lapped.

The Slovenians actually got lapped, and Andreja Mali spent a few minutes discussing with the race officials, and then they let her ski to the finish line. Her team had champagne waiting for her, it was her last race ever :)

After 2 legs top 10 is real, but the other 2 will be much more questionable, top 10 would be great, but I´ll be satisfied even also if the girls will fight exemplarily but will finish aroun 13th place.

Anyway we need a good result to "calm" more our position in the Nations Cup :d

A top 10 would I guess hinge on Fialkova and Kuzmina going all-out and not losing any ground on the leaders.

Poliakova's a good shot, but she's slow... Nothing to do about that, just damage limitation really. And Ivona needs to shoot well, too. But I do think a good result is possible

Won't be watching the race though have to get up early tomorrow so Good luck! :cheer:

  7. Well 5th place I'm very happy with. Krcmar amazing as always this season, Moravec and Krupcik did what they could, Slesingr I expected to shoot better but still a good performance.

Also great to see Slovenia doing well, they shot amazingly, and were in the TV broadcast for a lot of the race :p

Now the women's race... if Charvatova can pull it together, I think we have a shot at victory.

    we´ll see, but it´s strange.

anyway Krčmář looks awesome in this seasons start, he is amazing also today so far.:)

A podium might be possible if we are lucky.

And yeah I'm really impressed. He's becoming very consistent. Remember last year he did 2 penalty loops on the relay.

It's a bit of a shame that Merkushyna is so talented yet is stuck here and the Ukranian team is doing so mediocre in the WC. Germany have a great strategy where they just take people who do well in the IBU Cup and pretty much immediately put them into the WC. And also, if she wasn't racing, the Belgian and Australian would both have qualified for Trimester 2. But she's 50 seconds ahead of everyone, so... yeah.

Wonder what's happened to Salcedo? She was at the range for about a minute without shooting and then just disappeared. Maybe technical issues?

UPDATE nevermind she just missed 5 and it didn't show up.

  13. Just now, heywoodu said:

She absolutely deserves that, she is such a huge talent..

Yeah. Especially since the Ukranian team has 6(!) spots and they did pretty mediocre  in the sprint race.
