1.
Mostly B, but kinda agree with @DaniSRB: the first X in the ranking should have the priority (maybe I'd go for top-3 instead of top-5), but if they decline, we can have an open bid process.
2.
B, with first time hosts having a slight advantage
3.
A and B are both fine for me. Much like for the prediction contests it feels (at least for me) like much more fun when you're competing/playing against/with people who you also 'meet' and talk to in the regular sports threads.

Question 1:
How should TISC hosting rights be awarded if the winner declines their right to host the next edition?
(b) Open bid process after all medallists decline
Question 2:
If there is an open bid process, how would you rather it be conducted?
(b) First time hosts and previous hosts allowed to bid, but the draw will be weighted in favour of first time hosts
Added condition: non-winners need to have a cooling period before allowed to bid again.
Question 3:
(a) unchanged, maintain the rule as it is

Totallympics International Song Contest: Questionnaire
As promised, I have drawn up a questionnaire for TISC users to have their say. All previous TISC participants are allowed to vote and the majority answer on each question will be implemented in the TISC rules going forward. Some supplementary questions may be required as a follow-up based on the opinions expressed (for example if users want a degree of priority to be awarded to first time hosts, we will explore that further to determine the exact nature of that priority so that we can remove all ambiguity in the future). But for now, please vote on the following 3 questions. Voting closes Sunday 13th January 2019 21:00 GMT. I will remain neutral but if there is a tie between two or more options when the deadline has passed, I will cast a vote to break the tie.
Question 1:
How should TISC hosting rights be awarded if the winner declines their right to host the next edition?
(a) Awarded via ranking, with the next highest finisher being awarded the hosting rights
(b) Open bid process where all interested parties can bid
Question 2:
If there is an open bid process, how would you rather it be conducted?
(a) First time hosts given priority
(b) First time hosts and previous hosts allowed to bid, but the draw will be weighted in favour of first time hosts
(c) Completely open bidding, no priority given to any candidate and all are given equal chance
(d) I don't like any of these options
Question 3:
Rule 7 (a) in the TISC rulebook:
Do you want this rule to be:
(a) unchanged, maintain the rule as it is
(b) modified so that there is still some restriction, but want changes to the terms of this restriction
(c) scrapped, get rid of this rule completely
Thank you for you attention, looking forward to receiving your opinions.

1.
A, but let's ask top 5, and maybe expand to top 10, if 3 out of 5 in top 5 hosted already, if all decline then bid
2.
B, but rule to be known before bid, and not after candidats apply for bidding
3.
B, i would say memo is good example for this rule (and first time he managed to vote somehow)

All of the above looks and sounds delicious! I’d be in the no raisins camp too, even though I like raisins, but mostly in things like muesli

Happy New Year to you all!
I had a pretty calm New Year's Eve with my family (no hangovers, lucklily).
My first 4 months on the forum have been amazing. You have all been very welcoming. I have enjoyed the many hours I have spent on the forum discussing sports with all the knowledgeable users from around the world.
The highlight of the year was, without doubt, TISC 2018. It was very entertaining to see so many users contribute to this fun event with songs from their countries and the many random topics during the final. (Of course Denmark winning this year only made it better.)
I hope 2019 will bring many new great sport experiences, and I wish you all a happy and healthy 2019.

Male sportsman of the year : Lasha Talakhadze(Weightlifting)
Female sportsman of the year: Tai Tzu Ying(Badminton) (Don't follow the winter games much, yet Tai was undoubtedly the best and most consistent and 2 Olympic golds in 2 sports can't replace it )
Team of the year: Netherlands Women's Hockey Team Unbeaten throughout the year along with the World Cup Win
Special mention : Irish women's hockey team
Junior sportsman of the year (under 20 years old at 1/1/2018): Alben Esow (Winning a silver and that too in cycling is not why I chose him, but because he is from the Islands of Andaman and Nicobar, where having someone in national team is only a big thing, facing political mistreatment (no state govt for the islands) ,lack of equipment and infrastructure etc ...
Junior sportswoman of the year (under 20 years old at 1/1/2018): Manu Bhaker - Easily the best youth and junior athlete with CWG golds, senior record equalling performance at asiad, multiple junior and senior ISSF world cups .
Greatest moment of the year: Indian table tennis team
1.CWG women's team before finals being told by commentators difficult to win a game but later going on to win gold
2.Asiad men's team winning bronze
3.Asiad mixed doubles bronze
4.Women's singles gold at CWG won by Manika Batra.
Biggest idiot of the year:1.Steve Smith (cricket) for his famous ball tampering incident against South Africa..
2.North Korean Weightlifting team coach
