Laura was so clooooose in 4th,if she just hit that last shot quicker she would of gone out with the three and at the very least,a medal would of been guarenteed,heck if it was 800 meters,instead of this ''new great 5x600'' idea brone would of been hers for sure,she was just 2 seconds behind Salma. Regardless super happy with both her and Vensckaukaite's[5th] performances,and Laura proved that at age 39,she still has it .

Update on the discus scene, Chioma Onyekwere went 64.96 at Ramona,OK[place with plenty of wind],to break the over a decade long African record by 9 centimeters. And has gone up to number 5 on the world rankings.More notably Alex Rose from Samoa went 70.39 at the same place to join the 70 meter club and take the world lead. Meanwhile back in good old Andrius Gudžius showed that he's not ready to give up the best discus thrower today In Lithuania title without a fight,in his one legal throw at the Kaunas long throwing championship[notably with no wind in sight]going out to 69.35[his 3 best throw of all time] and 2 place in the world rankings.
