  1. KO4 is wide open now. I guess Austria is the favourite, but I wouldn't be surprised if any of them win.
  2. Pretty much. ITTF added an event costing only a few singles quota with the added bonus of giving the third member of some teams something to do after the team event.
  3. Is it official? He would have to sit out 2024 Olympics if he decided to make the switch now. Regardless, Suriname will qualify in track cycling on Monday
  4. See here Note starting on April 23rd the point system will change. Though the Super 300 will remain the same
  5. Here are the semifinalists of the Pan American Championships. Men's Singles Yang vs. Canjura Coelho vs. Cordon Women's Singles Zhang vs. Chan Lam vs. Li Men's Doubles Dong/Yakura vs. Chiu/Yuan Castillo/Montoya vs. Chen/Smith Women's Doubles Choi/Wu vs. Corbett/Lee Lima/Lima vs. Xu/Xu Mixed Doubles Lindeman/Wu vs. Smith/Lee Farias/Lima vs. Chiu/Gai Our top players are still in it. Hope they can finish it.
  6. That player would play in singles and the top 10 becomes top 11. The whole point is to have 86 men and 86 women compete.
  7. If a nation earns a quota in both the team and doubles then the player competing in the doubles must compete in the team event. To keep things simple, currently 4 men and 5 women will qualify through the world rankings, but that could increase up to 15 depending on the overlap between mixed doubles and the team or single qualifiers.
  8. Not bad, hopefully they continue to cut time between now and the Olympics. We probably need to average below 54 seconds if we want to medal.
  9. Syria had already qualified in equestrian. on the other hand has qualified their first athlete.
  10. Pretty much. Now that took the other quota today, there's pretty much no chance for two nations to overtake Spain
  11. Dark horse defeats Hungary in the semis. Spain will be tough, but they are at least in a good position to qualify tomorrow
  12. Huge opportunity for both teams to qualify.
  13. I think the NOC gets to pick which quota to decline. In a logical world they would keep the event in which they ranked higher, so Israel keeps sprint while Suriname keeps keirin. However, they are ranked similarly in both so I wouldn't be surprised if both choose to keep the same event. I imagine there will be a lot of lobbying from nations on the edge for them to pick the other event.
  14. Top seeds are getting it done so far, though Hong Kong needed all seven sets to beat Poland.
  15. The Pan American Championships starts today. If Canada wants to qualify in doubles we'll likely need to win gold in those events.
  16. Women's team recurve qualification results - 1965 - 1928 - 1925 - 1919 - 1902 After that there's a big drop. As a reminder, Mexico is unable to win the quota so should they win the event, the quota will go to the silver medalist.
  17. Men's team recurve qualification results - 2032 - 2029 - 2008 - 2004 - 1990 - 1976 After that the scores dramatically drop.
  18. Draw for tomorrow is out, see here. The first two tournaments are seeded based on world rankings. Winners will qualify to the Olympics. The third and fourth brackets will be seeded based on the performance from the first two tournaments (losing finalists will be the top seed, etc.). The winners will also qualify to the Olympics. As are not competing, they will qualify through the world rankings on May 7th along with two more nations.
