  3. Hey, found some summer biathlon from last weekend. And full scale, not just urban. French Championships - some big names involved but I think mostly selection races for the IBU Cup & Age Group teams. 6 races at the Channel. Another round in mid-October.
  4. Gery Chladoňova Cairol
  5. One lap to go & gruppo compato of 12-15 riders left.....and they make the classic mistake of relaxing & letting the second group back on.
  6. Tough racing in Kigali - because it is a mega-criterium, riders that fall off the back of the peloton are just yanked into the pits to watch on TV. Chladoňova crashes in the worst possible place. 40k to go only 20 or so left. Aussie girl has gears stuck. "Tough luck, mate, only one spare bike & it ain't for you!" says mech.

  8. Don't know about Union, but there's certainly a few in League who've got contracts with Army secondment.
  9. Already had quite a bit of figure skating though.
  10. Now this is what I call revenge..... Excusez-moi! Awkward moment Emmanuel Macron rings Trump for help after his motorcade is stopped by cops in New York... but ends up having to get out and walk | Daily Mail Online
  11. That's true, plenty countries have got whole teams of table tennis players - even the coach!
  12. has an odd exception. Anyone from any Commonwealth country can join the Army & get a passport that way. And, depending on military criteria, serving soldiers can also play semi-pro sports like......rugby. So we get a lot of Pacific Islanders volunteering for the Army and ending up in the rugby teams.
  13. TV Producer is just showing off though Tour de France: Herd of cows Vuelta: Fighting bulls Switzerland: Mountain goats Rwanda: Giraffes.
  14. The problem is that 1) very quickly becomes 3). The USA has the NCAA Qatar and Bahrain have "sports academies" Spain and Portugal have well-financed athletics clubs whereby people can establish long-term residence before transferring nationality French & Belgian Football Clubs are notorious for signing up teenage African players who then become eligible for Les Bleus etc etc So it is easy to blame Turkey but really they are just not as good at pretending as everyone else.
  15. Couple more wins to note Yesterday - Ethan Hayter won Stage 4 ITT of the Tour of Luxembourg Today - Paul Double won the Mountain Stage of the Tour of Slovakia and with it the Tour overall!
  16. Full detailed Points Table is here for all stats nerds. https://worldathletics.org/competitions/world-athletics-championships/tokyo25/placingtable
  17. Are there no hardware stores open in Japan on a Sunday evening?
  18. Not a cricket fan, then?
  19. Portugal drop it
  20. Just noticed we have an actual in the Discus Final. That is surely a first.
  21. Aussie almost broke a leg.
  22. Maes trying to get a second medal for people named after brands of beer.
  23. Would have been DQed either way. Touching with a hand is DQ, not attempting to jump is also DQ. Belgian shotputter method is good though.
  24. "Elvis" as he is known to his mates.
  25. First ever medal for in anything other than Walk, I think?
