    New about streaming for the Indoor Season from European Athletics. 23 meets! There will also the World Athletics Gold meets, as well as World Championships, National Champs and probably more.     I'm sure she is riding as a freelance, not really part of the US team. Guessing the World Cup team is official, maybe some juniors on the 2nd level circuit are also official, but she is probably just doing it herself, or with friends helping.

    Yeah, think Skjelbreid was the first in the line. When I first started watching the Norwegian women were well behind the men. Forsberg, Disl & Zubrilova were the stars.

    Too bad - thing about the Norwegian Champs is that they are for Norwegian Clubs, not exclusively Norwegian nationals. So foreign athletes do take part - Andy Musgrave was sprint champion one year.

    OK, the way I see it is this. Lets say you come 20th in race against Germany, USA, GB.....and then you come 20th in race against the Virgin Islands, Thailand and South Africa. Which race gets more points? Obviously, the more difficult race. So by withdrawing some high value athletes from the race, the Canadians made sure that the other athletes could never get enough points to overcome the Canadian's existing advantage.

    IBSF's own stupid fault if they have written the rules so badly as to allow something like this to happen. But I am sure there will be an "unsportsmanlike conduct" clause somewhere which will cover it.

    One worrying rumour to start your year off is that the organisation that controls the big Italian races - Giro, Strade Bianche, Milan-San Remo etc - is currently out of contract with Discovery/Eurosport etc and is looking to make a deal with a completely different provider so that is certain to be more expense for fans.

    Oberhof has two weather conditions - foggy or windy. Today is windy, so we should be in for some drama. And indeed first shoot is slow with.lots of misses.... Lordy, pressure is high to get into the team.... Incredibly after 7 misses Giacomel is back in the lead!
