  1. Has 250+ starters! Hardcore! I remember about 20 years ago when I first started watching CC I was in a discussion on another web forum with a guy saying that it was a mistake for the FIS to get rid of the 50k TT. And I think he was right - we see huge gaps here, even between the experienced guys, never mind the club amateurs.
  2. Cool thing is they are doing the 30k & 50k as individual starts, very rare nowadays.
  3. Jasmin Paris gets a write-up, is now famous in East Central Scotland https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-68643341
  4. Hey, Champs are on FTA! SM-veckan | SVT Play
  5. Another unsung British great - Jasmin Taylor from Ipswich has again won the Telemark World Cup!

  7. TV Coverage is very extensive. World Figure Skating Championships 2024: How to watch on BBC - BBC Sport
  8. Think the IOC needs to be taught the lesson that they don't get a brand new Pharoah's Tomb every time.
  9. Haven't really had a leader since Eve Muirhead retired.
  10. Planning to revive that great 1980s Institution the Friendship Games, both Summer & Winter! Thomas Bacholympicgoldmedalfencing1976 not very keen, but only because he never won any medals at it. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/athletics/68606455
  11. Cross Country Season not quite over yet. The Ski Classics season continues for another couple of weeks, although coverage is patchy depending where you are. Birkenbeiner on Sunday. Then & both have National Championships this weekend. Norway's will be free to air - hey, let's do a sprint, a middle distance ITT and to finish it off a 50km, why not? Also para, Nordic Combined & even Telemark. NM-veka – NM på ski: langrenn lagsprint, kvalifisering – NRK TV
  12. The BBC are also covering - at least they have Scotland’s games.
  13. Laura Kenny aka Laura Trott, Britain’s most successful female Olympian - 5 Golds - retires. Ironically the very athletes she inspired are now keeping her out of the Olympic team https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cycling/68579889
  14. She did 236m in practice but crashed - you can still see the injuries!
  15. Odermatt skis out! Misses out on the perfect 10/10 season. Verdu Second!
  16. Diggins puts a decent points difference into Svahn in the 10k Classic this morning, so should guarantee the overall with one race to go, barring the unexpected.
  17. On Pay Per View as normal, but Eurosport coverage starts on the 20th and covers the semis & finals.
  18. Wow, Botn on a charge from the Hundreds! Has the advantage of not being squeezed like a lime on a spring break tequila party of course.
  19. Dreadful details of what happened to Kamila Valieva. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/winter-sports/68570073
  20. Looking like a double bill of drama this weekend with Women’s Overall in both CC & Biathlon potentially going to the very last race.
  21. What else is on that week? Imagine they would show at least RB coverage of the international feed without making a big production number of it.
  22. During the World Indoors, we were discussing if the times for the 4x400m in the NCAA Indoors would be quicker. Well.... Men World Indoors Belgium 3:02.54 - NCAA Indoors Arizona State 3:02.35 & obviously faster than the US National Team Women World Indoors Netherlands 3:27.07 - NCAA Indoors South Carolina 3:26.30 & also faster than the US National Team
  23. Maybe was looking at someone else’s targets & thought he’d got them all down. Just so frustrating for Campbell Wright, there’s definitely a win for him next year.
  24. Think I’m right in saying that was a World Championship run! Nicky Minichiello (left) & Gillian Cooke who has a story to tell her grndchildren.
