  1. Congrats to France, Italy and Germany. Odd that Germany was really good on the range, only two spares, but was third, almost 3 min behind France.
  2. Lots of good shooting so far. If the tracks are as poor as you say, ski times will be very slow today.
  3. Czech Republic doing well, but they have an * by their team, looks like some rules violation. France now with a safe lead. One shoot left for them
  4. Odd that conditions are so poor at Obertilliach. Usually one of the colder venues.
  5. Mixed relay. France and Italy have separated themselves from all other nations. At exchange 3, they are up by over a min.
  6. Swiss win again with the single-mixed relay. Hartweig and Meier win by 3 seconds over Italy and Germany by 17. Each team got to their second skier before being lapped. Greece shot 9+12 and was over 11 min behind. I wonder if there is a rule if both skiers get a chance to ski before being pulled.
  7. Semenov of Ukraine takes the men's short individual. 1 miss helped him win by 50 seconds. Travis Cooper started the race. Had had been #4 for the US in the first two WC events. Paul Schommer who had been doing well so far this season missed 8 shots to finish 6:55 back. Women going now.
  8. I was looking on the amazon.fr yesterday and found a Martin Fourcade rubber band gun with 5 targets. https://www.amazon.fr/Vilac-Carabine-Martin-Fourcade-10034/dp/B07M9WZ892/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?keywords=biathlon&qid=1576623170&sprefix=biath&sr=8-4
  9. Congregations to Birkenland. I think those who thought Bourgeois Republic would come in a blow everyone away at the IBu Cup, and there were some, have realised how hard the steps up in competition are. I love the long process, there are some who come in and make a splash and do very well at the next me el, but for most, there is a slow process.
  10. Swiss youth shoot and ski very well and emerge with the win. I feel for Australia, Croatia and Serbia who were lapped prior to the 2nd skier shooting. Glad to see Turkey finished.
  11. Congrats to France. Also Mongolia who was seeded 27, finished in 19th. 23 in the Mixed Relay. The Swiss are seeded 11, if they shoot like they have this week, they should finish much higher.
  12. My fingers are faster than my brain this morning. Sorry for the mistype. Cisar seems to be having his best day so far this season.
  13. I know, I was talking about not so great yesterday to much better today. I wonder if those who have dome the Mass Start 60 statistically do better in the 1-30 slots or 31-60. I know that the sample size is very small, and the better ones are usually in the top 30, but is there an advantage of one over the other?
  14. Single Mixed relay is over, Mixed coming up. There were 29 nations represented including Greenland who led at the first exchange!
  15. WOW, 48th to 12th. That is an impressive turn around. Runggaldier was the only to shoot clean.
  16. Oops, not race, but race weekend. I also called Dressigacker a lunk not link, fat fingers.
  17. No question. She is the weak lunk for the US. I actually liked Dunklee and Egan at 2 and 3. Congrats to the Swiss. And crazy last lap for Norway. Very interesting pursuit. Fourcade being attacked at the end of the race by his own team. Lower placings means less points, harder to catch Boe. Remember he is going to miss at least one race due to the due date of his wife. Men's relay should be very interesting. I would love the French B team that will be there tomorrow as the US team.
  18. Man. I am bad. No one should ever listen to my thoughts again.
  19. I had put it in its own thread, but it must have been moved into this one.
  20. Varabei of Belarus comes out of spot 120 to take the lead! Of the current top 6, three started after 112 out of 123.
  21. Bogetveit almost makes up 18 seconds over the last 1.1k to seemingly tie for second 2.2 behind. He was flying that last k.
  22. Gjesbakk made up 10 seconds on Pivarnitsyn over the last 1.1k. Looks like he has a great chance to win today. Jake Brown of the US with a great race for him today. 16 clear shoots so far.
  23. I wonder what happened to Hartweg? In the last 1.1k he lost almost 30 seconds to Bionaz and went from 1st to 3rd.
  24. Looks like the 2025 European Olympic Winter Festival destination might be deep in the Caucasus. I wonder how many nations would balk at the cost. Glad to see they are restoring biathlon track. It must have been there from the Soviet era.
