  1. Congrats to Hoegberg, Starykh and Glazyrina. Magnusson moved up from 31 to 11. Carrara went from 15th to 41st. As anticipated, Germany and Norway will be strong. Russia and Sweden as well. A week off before Ridnaun. Supersprint Sprint Mass Start 60.
  2. Very disappointing day for the US racers. Wierer is flying on her shooting so far this season. Fourcade missed two, and it he did not, even one less and he would have been at the top. Good to see Dale ski so well. So at the other end, Apostolos Angelis of Greece has not started either race, Sjusjoen or Oestersund. Any idea why? It is not too often that he gets a chance to be on the World Cup. One last thing, the Lithuanian uniforms look good.
  3. Here is the only list that I could find online. I wonder if it is behind the login wall here.
  4. Ahh, now I get It. I found this. So have the rules changed from this? Is there a location where the list is published?
  5. Moving on up in the Nations team score! 10 total teams were lapped.
  6. I did not know the pursuit did not earn IBU points. Or are you saying for those who miss the top 60 do not have a chance to earn points. So a weird race for sure today. Congrats to Nawrath, Gjesbakk and Fratzscher. Pettersen missed 8 shots and only ended up in 13th, 1:42 behind. He must have been flying out there. Bogetveit missed 7 and finished 17th. Tambornino missed 10 and dropped from his start point of 17th all the way to 40th. No real surprise but Gjesbakk leads the overall with 157, and Fratzscher has 156.
  7. I love the pursuit. Looking forward to tomorrow.
  8. I am glad the US did as well as they did. Congrats to Sweden and Italy. It is so nice to see biathlon again! I am waiting for the rest of the season. I teach world and American history.
  9. Very different results for the women today. 5 of the top 10 go clean. 7 counties in the top 10 including Greenland. Erdal goes from 1st to 22nd. Dickinson goes from 2nd to 43rd. Hammerschmidt goes from 3rd to 40th.
  10. All, I am not going to comment during the races today, not that I do not like you, but I want to watch the stream without knowing what has happened, and it will not be available live, only later in the day.
  11. Looks like 3 Americans in the top 35. Not too bad. Schommer ... what could have been. But that is the exciting thing about biathlon. The Swiss also had a good day with 9,17 and 44, 59, 69. Worst placed Norwegian of the 6 was 19th. I believe the phrase is embarrassment of riches.
  12. Varabei of Belarus had a chance, but missed 3 in the stand. Schommer still holding on to a top 20.
  13. Hulgaard and Rosbo are consistent for Denmark. Rosbo is now 4 of 20 for the Season.
  14. @dcro What are your expectations for the relay today? I really do not know much at all about Croatian Biathlon. Can they beat Slovakia or Romania?
  15. I was paying attention to that as well. Congrats to the Dane!
  16. That Norwegian team is so deep. It is crazy how good they are.
  17. Not only that, but almost 30 seconds ahead. Unless he dies on the last lap, he should come into the finish in first place. Not sure able those behind him to see who could beat him.
  18. Top 20 is still a real chance, and top 10 a possibility. Yeah too bad.
  19. Gjesbakk currently clean and fastest at 5.1. If he or Nawrath can avoid the penalty loop, they should finish near the top and challenge Pettersen.
  20. Paul Schommer is currently the fastest at 5.1 ?!? Could another American make a podium? I would be shocked. Pettersen is really moving out there. Also, good to see Tambornino going well. Not as quick as the others, so he needs to hope that those above him miss and he goes clean. Pettersen went clean on the stand. With his speed, he should finish near the top.
  21. From what I understand both Dunklee and Egan are done after the next Olympics. I am glad that the US finally has three decent to good female biathletes. You have to go back a long time before you find this again. Too bad the relay is 4 women .
  22. Fratzscher picking up where he left off two days ago. It is early, but with 1 miss in the prone, he is only 1.7 behind the fastest time. Much better shooting overall so far.
  23. As a History professor, students in my class need to be able to locate every country in the world. No if they retain that, I have no idea. But for just a moment in their lives, they should know the difference between Slovenia and Slovakia.
