Qualifiers for World cup In AFC begins today with the 1st Round matches , to be played over 2 legs( Home & Away ) The winners will qualify for Round 2

If do get to host the games be it 2036/2040 , I would choose 1) Cricket ( if already not part of core sports by then) 2) Kabaddi 3) Cue Sports 4) Chess

Knockout stage starts from today with R of 32 matches in both men’s & women’s section.

18 would be including 2 reserves. You can count either ways, 16 or 18 . Official team squad will be of 16 players, the other 2 players will be staying outside village & can be called upon if required.

So as per the 2026 programme, We will loose 3 Silvers & 2 bronze as Chess, Bridge & Roller sports won’t be part of the 2026 games. Not bad , also they have added bowling in 2026 . How are we in Bowling at continental level? Events per sports is not yet decided, biggest problem for us would be if they remove team events from shooting.

Excellent Asian Games for us . Anyways , there is a song contest being organised by @Olympian1010 . Each country is invited to present their choice of song ( must originate from that country) & then all the songs which are submitted are rated by users to choose a winner. I thought should have representation & we could choose one song to submit for selection . I have a song in my mind, if anyone of you have any suggestions or songs which you would like to propose then please do. If we have multiple suggestions , then we can go for a final voting to select our entry for the contest. The deadline to enter has been extended till this weekend. So , it would be great if we could decide on an entry by tomorrow. Thanks Guys😊

Final 2-0 gets the quota place & Qualifies for Paris Olympics

Poor officiating by the match officials, it is a shame the match ended the way it did. As it was a fiercely contested high quality close match, all that you would want in a final. I think it is more to do with world ranking than coin toss. But LOC should have had a spare day for the final at least. Anyways, it is not unjust or unfair as the rules were agreed on before the games & was same for all teams. Also, the better team deservedly won 🥇.

Have you seen Khalokov box ? Kyyzhniak , yes & La cruz WAS a phenomenal boxer …but if you are a betting man, it wouldn’t surprise me if you would bet in Khalokov winning the gold in Paris.

Next will be 23rd quota & 38th athlete if it will be an individual quota, which looks likely from the shooting Asian championships We have achieved 22 quota places & a total of 37 athletes (without reserves) qualified so far.

We played like champions throughout the entire tournament. This team gives a lot of hope , maybe we can do something special in Paris.

Thats what happens if you don’t concentrate on training. I still believe he is a class wrestler, got immense stamina just need to focus on training now rather than Politics.

Kishore Kumar Jena qualified for Olympic games in men’s Javelin . He threw the javelin 87.54m a new PB & got 🥈medal behind Neeraj Chopra who won 🥇 with a throw of 88.88m at the Asian Games A 1-2 for us Our 9th Athletics quota & 21st overall.
