Yes, our best bet will be in LM2X & Single sculls (men ). Will be great if we can qualify 2 boats & 3 athletes. Last time we qualified 2 boats for Tokyo but because of that rule of 1 boat per NOC in continental regatta, we could only send LM2X boat & single sculler missed out.

Not a bad performance from Indian boats across the rowing heats. We can expect good medal hauls this time too. Particularly pleasing is the performance of LM2X crew , finishing 2nd in their heat (4th overall across 2 heats) . LM2X will have 2 olympic quota places in the Asian qualifying regatta.

They scored a cumulative total of 37 at the loss of 20 wickets in 24.3 overs (1.53 RPO) across 2 matches. 10 of those 37 runs are from Extras!

Good going by our M8+ best of the rest behind China , who finished 9th in recent world championships. Maybe we should be sending the Eights for the FInal Regatta qualifiers.

Our ⚽️ team reached yesterday late night , less than 24 hrs before their match vs Clubs were reluctant to release players due to ongoing league commitments & continental club championships . We ended up sending an effectively 3rd choice team bar 3-4 players . I assume many countries must have faced similar issues as the ⚽️ matches don’t fall under approved FIFA window!

Asian wrestlers qualified so far: 57 Kg - only ( Rest of the 4 quotas were taken by European nations) 65 Kg- Yet to finish ( but 2 finalists are European, Perhaps &/ may get 1/2 of the other 3 quotas . 74 Kg- Again only ( 3 out of the other 4 quotas were taken by Europeans & 1 by USA) 86 Kg- , & ( 3 out of 5 quotas to asian countries) This is the best weight in terms of results for Deepak Punia to get the quota in asian qualifiers. 97 Kg- Yet to finish but most certainly will be only ( 3 quotas are yet to be awarded & there is a wrestler in contention but he has next to no chance against Snyder or Sadulaev) 125 Kg- Only ( 3 of the other 4 quotas were taken by Europeans and 1 by USA) In summary , it will be tough to even qualify wrestlers from the asian qualifiers with only 2 quotas available. One bad drawn & there wont be any chance through repechage.

Also @Prashanth how will you watch AG outside India? Could you please share International broadcaster details if you have? Will it be streamed outside Asia? Won 1 match (3-0) , lost 2-3 & 0-3 Won 1 match ( 3-2) but lost 2-3 & 1-3 Won 1 match (3-1) but lost both matches 0-3 . It should be winning the quota , isn’t it?

It was so tight , came down to games won . All 3 had won 1 match each . It is always better to have a knockout format to avoid such complexity.
