  2. It will be distributed via world team rankings , which will be updated just after the world team championships in Busan, next year. This is as per the qualification document released by ITTF.
  3. Great Analysis, Thanks! I know is sending a much weakened team due to variety of reasons ( eg Asian games, Injury , Protest against federation) & perhaps our hope lies more in W than in M FS but who do you think among our men’s team has the best chance to win quota or medal at this world championships. You rate Aman highly but think Abakarov will win the bout, get the quota place & perhaps medal. Can we see anyone else in team get a surprise win / quota place?

  5. Men’ s Team SF V V ** (WR 14) & (WR 35) really pushed much higher ranked (WR 2) & (WR 5) all the way. They nearly caused major upsets. Well played to them. Will have their chance in world qualifiers early next year. Women’s Team SF V V

  9. Got caught in the ropes and the Zambian landed a heavy punch on his right jaw, went down instantly. I was surprised to see a KO in Flyweight , you normally don’t get those. Although Patrick is heavily stocked for his weight class, must have a good punch in him.
  10. Yes it was quite serious , lost his bearings after a KO blow by Patrick. Referee did well to call the medics urgently.

  15. Our sports minister did say in a public interview that we are focusing for a potential Olympic games 2036 bid . Ahmedabad as the potential host city with the massive Narendra Modi stadium (capacity : 110,000 as of now) taking the centre stage of the bid. When he was questioned on CWG and if we would bid to host the 2026 event , he didn’t provide any conclusive answers just that they are focusing more on the olympics bid & as for CWG neither did the CGF got in touch with them re hosting proposals nor have the ministry expressed any intention to CGF. I will try to find a link to the interview if I can . EDIT: Here is the story @Rafa Maciel https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1139862/india-2036-olympics-thakur
  16. XD Final Omar Assar & Dina Meshref V Oladije Omotayo & Olufunke Oshonaike
  17. Khouloud Hlimi & Marcelat Sakobi Matshu got the quota places. Did anyone watched the bout between Hlimi v Diallo ? Diallo won the first round in 3 judges card , however the referee stopped the fight in RD2 by giving 3 standing 8 counts to Diallo. 2 of those counts were rubbish. It was typical AIBA refereeing. Boxing will not change no matter who conducts. The poor girl Diallo was crying and crowd were booing. Totally unfair that one.
