  1. She was selected because she had enough good results that could compete in all events but had a little less FIS points than Sawicka, additionaly Sawicka's father was mad of that and he make intervention in our skiing national federation, due to this Komorowska gets very negative comments and she decided to withdraw because she couldnt handle it and said that her mental health is more important than Olympics participation.
  2. Nikola Komorowska in alpine skiing decided to withdraw from Olympics due to massive amount of hate which she got in social media after being selected to Olympics. Higly probably she will be replaced by Aniela Sawicka.
  3. I have no idea why is it, maybe an athlete quota limit or something like this, IMO competing in the team event without full team is nonsense
  4. For 99,9% team will count those 57 athletes, all federations announced qualified athletes, but NOC is yet to officialy confirm it. Alpine skiing (3) Maryna Gąsienica-Daniel Nikola Komorowska Piotr Habdas Biathlon (8) Konrad Badacz Jan Guńka Grzegorz Galica Marcin Zawół Natalia Sidorowicz Joanna Jakieła Kamila Żuk Anna Mąka Bobsleigh (2) Linda Weiszewski Klaudia Adamek Cross country skiing (7) Dominik Bury Sebastian Bryja Maciej Staręga Izabela Marcisz Monika Skinder Eliza Rucka-Michałek Aleksandra Kołodziej Figure skating (4) Jekaterina Kurakowa Władimir Samojłow Julia Szczecinina/Michał Woźniak Luge (6) Mateusz Sochowicz Klaudia Domaradzka Wojciech Chmielewski/Michał Gancarczyk Nikola Domowicz/Dominika Piwkowska Nordic combined (2) Miłosz Krzempek Kacper Jarząbek Short track (5) Michał Niewiński Felix Pigeon Natalia Maliszewska Gabriela Topolska Kamila Sellier Ski jumping (5) Kacper Tomasiak Kamil Stoch Paweł Wąsek Anna Twardosz Pola Bełtowska Ski mountaineering (2) Iwona Januszyk Jan Elantkowski Snowboarding (4) Aleksandra Król-Walas Maria Bukowska-Chyc Oskar Kwiatkowski Michał Nowaczyk Speed skating (9) Damian Żurek Marek Kania Piotr Michalski Władimir Siemirunnij Andżelika Wójcik Martyna Baran Kaja Ziomek-Nogal Natalia Czerwonka Karolina Bosiek There is still chance that ice dance pair will be added to delegation for a team event, we are waiting for confirmation from ISU.
  5. Thats right, we missed qualification by one place in ranking, by whole season the relay wasnt in final A even once. The short track qualifications were overall the most dissapointing among all sports before these Olympics
  6. We didnt qualify a womens relay in short track. But also Semmirnuiy on 10000m speed skating have big medal chances
  7. Me who loves cats and catgamer in Kilkenny Cats? It cant be coincidence
  8. Worth to add, if Klaudia Adamek will qualify after all, she will become first Polish athlete who did compete in both Summer and Winter Olympics.
  9. Linda Weiszewski and Klaudia Adamek will compete in this week in both European and World Cup to save their place in Olympics and make a debut for Poland in womens events, since they are now last among qualifiers as far as I know, since Jamaica got second quota in 2 womens event yesterday.
  10. Thats good, but I think Galica should take some rest because of his age and Suchodolski could be replaced by Skorusa for example to give him any chance to show in World Cup
  11. Probably it is because he did win 24h LeMans.
  12. 2 Olympic medals for Brazil seems to be possible
  13. Tomorrow both men and women sprints will take place, due bad weather forecasts for Friday. Interesting notes, in mens race first biathlete on start list will race with bib 2, as number 1 will be reserved for Bakken who passed away at the end of the year. Also minute of silence just before the start is planned. While in womens race we will see Dolidovich, for who it will be World Cup debut and debut of an refugee athlete
  14. Unfortunately I will not be able to post my votes because of work, unless somebody from first or second session will swap with me or @OlympicIRL will post instead of me.

  18. In comparsion to 2022 we are still missing some countries, those like and are and will be missing under their flags by obvious reasons, an athlete from is retired, either of or will get quota in skeleton, but what about and ?
  19. No, he didn't, but he tried, as was competitor of 2024 selections.
