  5. Vytautas Strolia 36th in the Norwegian championship. Hard to say if it's a promising result, 32nd course time among some really good athletes and also beat Guiggonat, Windisch, Hofer and Moravec in the standings, so perhaps he won't be a pushover in Ostersund. Our junior Linas Banys in 61st looks in a much better shape than last year, especially since he demolished Karol from the A team whom finished 84th. Other than that, Fomin finished 89th whilst Romanov, Jakeliūnas and Mačkinė ended in 126th, 127th and 129th, watch out IBU cup, we're coming and we're ready. Not too eager to discuss the girls when Leščinskaitė manages to be +3.35.4 behind Vittozzi with a 0+1 shooting score.

  8. So, this weekend concluded the eventing season in Europe and North America, and pretty much sealed the deal on Olympic qualification. Teams qualified - Everyone has the Certificate of Capability. Nilson da Silva failed, so Brazil still needs to find the third rider (they can do that next season). Thailand meanwhile has nobody to fill the reserve slot (and it will probably stay that way). Individuals qualified (spots are awarded to NOCs, not the specific athletes) Group A Tim Lips (Bayro) - 236 Merel Blom (Ceda) - 111 Group B Karin Donckers (Fletcha van't Verahof) - 105 Francisco Gavino Gonzalez (Source de la Faye) - 92 Group C Aleksandr Markov (Leader) - 176 Valery Martyshev (Primero) - 159 Group D Karl Slezak (Fernhill Wishes) - 58 Colleen Loach (Qorry Blue d'Argouges) - 57 Group E Lauren Billys (Castle Larchfield Purdy) - 111 Carlos Lobos (Ranco) - 71 Ronald Zabala-Goetschel (Wundermaske) - 3 Group F Victoria Scott-Legendre (Song du Magay) - 12 Camilla Kruger (Biarritz) - 3 Usman Khan (Azad Kashmir) - 2 Group G Fouaad Mirza (Fernhill Facetime) - 34 Thomas Heffernan Ho (Tayberry) - 7 Additional Miloslav Prihoda Jr. (Ferreolus Lat) - 141 Alexander Zelenko (Carlo Grande Jr.) - 112 Aliaksandr Faminou (Martinie) - 107 Peter T. Flarup (Fascination) - 104 Miroslav Trunda (Shutterflyke) - 99 Lea Siegl (Fighting Line) - 79 Incomplete MERs - Everything is decided, aside from Group E and Group F. Second quota in Group E should be decided in a direct battle between Carlos Lobos and Ronald Zabala at Campo de Mayo CCI4*-L in two weeks time. Australian-based Usman Khan has a chance to take over the second spot away from Zimbabwe. He is entered for Wallaby Hill CCI4*-L in two weeks time, where he will essentially have to complete with MER, which would give him 3 points irregardless of his finishing position. This seems to be a massive chance for Pakistan, but it's by no means a done deal.

  14. First they determine Path D based on the results of League D... 1. 2. 3. 4. Then Path C based on the results of League C.... 1. 2. 3. 4. - already qualified 5. Then Path B based on the results of League B.... 1. 2. - already qualified 3. - will likely qualify 4. - already qualified 5. - already qualified 6. - already qualified 7. - will likely(?) qualify 8. - already qualified 9. 10. - already qualified 11. 12. Then Path A based on the results of League A... 1-11. all qualified or will likely qualify 12. So Path A has 3 open spots. We have to fill those with League B teams... but those also already qualified or are in Path B. So now we have to fill those with League C teams. 6. 7. 8. And that's how you get a Path A with mostly League C teams.

  19. Navarro singles in extras, takes Mexico to the 2020 Olympics First baseman Efren Navarro singled on a broken-bat blooper in the bottom of the tenth off left handed reliever Caleb Thielbar to bring home Javier Salazar. Mexico beat the USA 3-2, to earn the 2019 WBSC Premier 12 Bronze Medal and the spot of the Americas Region in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Navarro fouled off as many as four consecutive pitches before looking at a ball. He singled on the eighth offering of his at-bat after going 0 for 4 and striking out three times in the game. "It was a very important at-bat and I'm grateful that I had this chance," said Efren Navarro after the game. "You must credit all of the team for this accomplishment. The pitchers, Matt Clark, who kept us in the game with his home run." Mexico's manager Juan Castro decided to bunt in the bottom of the tenth despite having red-hot Jonathan Jones at the plate. The center field went down 0-2 in the count against Brandon Dickson, then advanced the tie-break runners to second a third with a perfectly executed sacrifice bunt. The USA walked second baseman Esteban Quiroz to load the bases, then went to the bullpen. Left-handed batter Navarro got the game winning-hit off left-handed reliever Caleb Thielbar. The same approach hadn't proved successful for the USA in the top half of the inning. Manager Scott Brosius got a perfect sacrifice bunt from Bobby Dalbec, the same hitter who had put the USA ahead in the top of the seventh. Mexico's reliever Carlos Bustamante intentionally walked right fielder Brooker to load the bases. He then struck out third baseman Alec Bohm on a breaking ball outside and got out of the inning as shortstop Jake Cronenworth popped out to shortstop. The USA came just three out short of the win. Noah Song allowed only a walk in 1.1 innings and handed the ball to closer Brandon Dickson with a one-run lead in the bottom of the ninth. Designated hitter Matthew Clark homered on the third pitch to tie the game. "I was looking for something high in the zone." said Clark after being awarded as the Hublot Player of the Game. "He hanged a split-finger and I was fortunate enough to make the most of it." Carlos Bustamante earned the win as the sixth pitcher to step to the mound for Mexico. Juan Castro used three more relievers after starter Arturo Reyes: Brennan Bernardino, Jesus Rios and Eduardo Vera. 21. I actually currently don't hold a Canadian passport (lost it, ironically the day I applied for a US passport) so it's actually easier for me to prove American citizenship than Canadian citizenship at the moment :P The Canadian government is super nice and is charging a 45$ "you are a moron who lost their passport" fee on top of the renewal fee and the renewing from abroad fee D:

  22. Sigh. Then someone doesn't know it, reads it as 'nigger' and gets kindly corrected by someone who says 'No, look, pronounce it like this'. Big whoop. I hope they qualify, it'd be fun to see people explode out of their pantyhoses when someone accidentally says it wrong.

  25. Very well made movie, and pretty historically accurate. It was a truly fun experience as an endurance racing fan. It actually made me feel younger a bit because that’s what I grew up watching. The acting is good, and the movie is paced well. I had to choose between seeing this or Jojo Rabbit today, and I think I made the right choice. Of course, I’ll be seeing Jojo Rabbit tomorrow.

  27. But Niger is one of those countries one basically never hears anything about at all. It exists, outside of the knowledge of most people even, and that's it It'd be so cool if a country like that qualifies in a team sport.

Mak keeping his incredible streak of at least one red card every qualification anyway, I really hope we will win next August Olympic Ice Hockey qualification, that´s what actually matters...and obviously keeping heywoodu next august last weekend far from the forum as long as possible
