as far as I know they cancelled the competition. and the Asian quota will be decided by the World Championships results but I'm not sure about this part !

but I'm sure there will be no competition tomorrow, I would know about it.

I heard the same news. In this scenario, both man and woman quota will go to South Korea.

So, it's official that Asian qualifications are cancelled, as @Vic Liu wrote, the two quotas are awarded to :KOR via their results at last World Championships.

It’s very likely :KOR would have taken both quotas anyway. Maybe :TPE could have challenged for the women’s spot. :KAZ:CHN could have gained more climbers possibly, but at least they already qualified some.

Team China wanted these two remaining quotas very much. As the Asian qualifier originally scheduled in Chongqing, China but rescheduled to Japan due to the pandemic and surprisingly rescheduled back to China again as Japan gave it up afterwards. There were a few Chinese national climbing events preparing for the Olympic qualifier this year and I am sure other asian climbers must also train very hard for this. Very sad, everything is unpredictable during the ongoing pandemic, not just Climbing or Olympics.

    • Interesting, for only 2 months i think i have seen some kind of coin from all of the big countries - Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, France, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Ireland and yes the 2 euro from Croatia. But some of them were the smaller ones, 10, 5, 2 cents.    Expectedly there aren't any from the smaller countries so far. Nothing from the Baltics, Cyprus, Slovenia, Malta, Andorra etc. But also a bit surprising i haven't seen any from Greece yet.    Don't know from what part of Italy are you, but it's safe to say that when summer hits there will be a lot of Bulgarians visiting Rome, so i'm sure they'll bring some of our coins to spread around.
    • I choose to collect only coins in circulation (and I have also found coins in circulation that should not be on the market; you can find a bit of everything). From my experience, it takes 4-5 years for coins to reach southern Italy, so I have no idea how it will work in Bulgaria. Incidentally, I am curious to see when I will see my first Bulgarian coin. I have not yet seen a Croatian coin (introduced in 2023!).
    • Yes, i saw that there are a lot of commemorative coins. But to get some of those, i would need to buy them, as i don't know how much of them are in circulation. And the chances of such making it to Bulgaria are rather slim.    Still, if i find some sports ones on a good price, maybe i will order a few.

    • Have you already started looking for the hundreds of commemorative 2 euro coins? There are loads of them, including sports-themed ones.
    • Don't know if someone else is collecting Euro coins, but since we joined the zone it's been fun looking at what you can get.    It took only 2 months, but today i finally got my first Slovakian coin.  @hckošice
