So the qualification period ended today and this monday rankings will be used. Here's a tentative list i saw in Wikipedia, don’t know if one of you guys is behind it. I think there will be changes, it excludes some players due fed cup/davis cup nominations that I believe just were not selected at the time, like Karatsev I guess. Also other players will opt out, for example Federico Delbonis is included and he already said he won't go to Tokyo. I guess we'll have to wait a few days till confirmations from ITF.

The wiki source is "accurate" I mean they made it according to the singles ranking and added high ranked double partners who play together. All NOCs will be offered singles and doubles quotas. Some NOC will be able to choose amongst several players and also for doubles if someone is choosen, should be able to choose a partner who is ranked no worse than 300. The list of tennis players will still take some time to establish as NOCs will be confirming or declining based on world ranking from June 14th.

Is the Andy Murray qualification correct?

I doubt honestly. Even if he'd use PR I don't think it'd be so high right now

I am unashamed, at getting nothing done.

    • Greece and Portugal also have winter sports centres - but of course these are not homologated routes for World Cup competitions I have never been to Albania personally, so I don't know the country at all. I have been to southern Croatia, though, and there are mountains there but you definitely can't ski there (I was there in the summer, but it's also impossible in the winter). World cup taking place there only in Zagreb.  In general the case of Colturi and Kostelic is completely different: Colturi has no ties to Albania and Janica Kostelic was Croatian and didn't left their country even though at the beginning of her carrier (and also her brother Ivica) her father had to pay for everything and the federation's support was zero. This only changed later. I imagine that the Kostelic family had offers from other countries (Austria, Switzerland, Italy?) to compete for them, which were much richer (at the beginning of the 21st century Croatia was a very poor country and devastated by war). All the more respect for them because they were true Croatian patriots until the end.
    • Atalanta is probably playing the most beautiful football in Europe right now: spectacular and effective. It's nice to watch and they don't have to spend a lot of money for it.   Inter is playing very economically. It's not impressive but it's consistently collecting points. It's also the only team in the Champions League that hasn't conceded a goal this season.   Milan played very poorly yesterday but they won. They have 9 points and are close to qualifying for the play-offs.

    • Unfortunate, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm looking forward to Thursday evening, when the team captain's meeting is over and we have our very first World Cup start list of the season. Always a cool moment to see who's there and everything
