Come again, why does this Dunfee guy has such a big fanbase (on this forum in particular)?

Because he is not afraid to speak his mind.

He’s among the most outspoken athletes across all Olympic sports. He’s not afraid to say what is on everyone’s mind while still being polite about it.

Because he’s speaks for athletes. He’s not arrogant. He actually enjoys speaking with and engaging with his fans. He brutally honest about what it means to be an international athlete. He’s a champion of clean sport.

He does have some down sides (he’s not the greatest race walker, he can be combative at times), but he’s one of the most genuine athletes you’ll meet. He’s one those athletes that acts like a normal person, and doesn’t pretend to be above everyone else. He models behavior that is good for young athletes to see.

He'd probably run for the Athlete's Commission elections in Tokyo if he could. Well, he needs to wait until Paris because of Hayley Wickenheiser.

I think he’s more interested in doing work within World Athletics. I could see him as the President of World Athletics one day.

Well, Bach started from the Athletes Commission, didn't he?

For some reason his first name is spelled wrong on his WA profile.

Minsk will host the 2021 Superleague Team European championship

Why does it feel like Minsk always steps in for every postponed event ever? :d

    • I hope they can kick teqball and convince the North Koreans to play the real deal  (very unlikely, I know(   Obstacle racing on the other hand, it should be a compulsory sport of the ABG

    • Oops. I must have misunderstood. I could have sworn I saw her jogging in a field of other men. I assumed she had caught up to some of the slower men. (I admittedly wasn't watching closely.)
    • The women started earlier, it was a race without any men participating.
    • Looking forward to this competition starting tomorrow! Will be nice to see some other countries participate. USA women start with Namibia tomorrow.
    • This came out on the official website yesterday. Updated list of events and competition schedules in Japanese.   Padel and Teqball are on the schedules. Looks like two events for Padel and five for Teqball.   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会競技プログラム.pdf   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会デイリースケジュール.pdf   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会セッションスケジュール.pdf   On the sports programme PDF, Padel is #25 and Teqball is #38.
    • looks like the agreement is the international federations are in fact hosting the event, not the AG organizers, so everything is up to them to make it happen.   Teqball is now confirmed to have 5 events (singles and doubles) does it mean easy 5 gold medals for Thailand ?   Padel is not 100% confirmed yet. I assume there are still talks ongoing between the IF and the Japanese organizers.
    • I feel like this year's Eurovision is more wide open than ever 😂   There isn't a clear favorite, and that makes everything more exciting. Finland is looking strong, sure, but Ukraine always knows how to surprise people and connect with them. I was checking out the odds a bit, and I was struck by how quickly they're rising.   By the way, I found a site that compares the odds pretty clearly: https://casasdeapuestaseurovision.com/   It’s nothing special, but it gives you an idea of how things are shaping up before the semifinals. Although we all know how this goes… at Eurovision, everything can change in a matter of minutes
