What a choke from Portugal :lol:Yet they only need a win against non-motivated French team tomorrow...

France is still the host nation so they will want to win at home, but yeah Portugal isn't going to with by 7+ goals so they are quite safe.

Portugal did defeat them at the 2020 Euros so it's not an impossible task for them. Still it's quite impressive on how quickly they improved, hopefully they can continue it.

Come on. Who wrote the script? Is there a rule about Croatian teams being able to qualify only through dramatic finishes?

Portugal was leading 16:10 last time I checked before entering the movie theater, and surprise surprise, the comeback apparently started right then.

Nothing is safe though. Tunisia will be by no means a walk-over, especially since they are not out of it themselves.

France, too, has an option of eliminating Croatia on purpose...

That's the most surprising thing here for me  ... though it seems I'm just accustomed to these stupid restrictions going on since several months

just for info, 2 months ago France and Portugal were exactly in the same position. that was Norway in World Championship, now it's Croatia.

2 months ago France played fair and serious and helped Norway advance to the QF. even though Portugal is a pretty good team, they are capable of beating a full squad motivated France as they did in Euro.

if Norway plays normal and beat Korea

Chile needs a +4 goals win to qualify. the good news is they already have that ! the bad news is Brazil still has 45 minutes to make up for the terrible start. :p

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
