Irish cycling won't really miss anything with Roche out of it (in terms of results), unless that'd happened five years ago. Martin still had something in the tank this year, so that's a shame.

The 2013 archery world champion, Maja Jager, has announced that she will retire as an archer. 

She also competed at the 2012 and 2020 Olympics.

Well damn, that makes me feel old. I remember she was my favourite athlete when she won her second junior world title...no idea that was already that long ago

I remember when Bengtsson was winning in juniors and touted as the next great thing in women's PV. She never met those expectations indeed. Perhaps she knew she's bounced off her ceiling already?
