This was announced in December but technically it happens this year.

 

Caroline Wozniacki will retire after the Australian Open. She won this tournament two years ago and finally cracked the Grand Slam code that eluded her for years. Since she's ineligible for the Olympics, it was almost a no-brainer decision to anyone who follows tennis like myself.

Luiza Zlotkowska announced her retirement at the age of 33, exactly 10 years to the day of the Vancouver OG team pursuit bronze medal (which was a major shock).

 

She basically didn't compete internationally after the Pyeongchang OG anymore and works as TV expert.
