Formula 1 FIA World Championship 2021

Recommended Posts

More drama late in the race with Hamilton running into the back of Verstappen (brake-testing?) and Hamilton eventually wins. Both are tied on points heading into Abu Dhabi.

Oh, and Michael Masi needs to go after the season. FIA has completely lost the grip with some of these calls between Hamilton & Verstappen.

That was quite the race. Verstappen cutting a corner and making a bit of an unusual move to give the position back, but Hamilton refusing to take the position in that moment (by choice obviously, since he knew taking the position would have given Verstappen DRS) and just hitting him in the back....only to complain about a brake test

He had two seconds or so to react, that's not a brake test, at all. It was nonsense left and right, hopefully they'll just draw a line under this race, keep the result and move on to next week.

Verstappen got an additional ten second penalty for the "break test" incident, which I'm sure he'll find devastating.

Anyway this circuit is terrible and I hope we never see it again.

This circuit is on the edge of what should be allowed in terms of safety, but honestly I do actually kind of like it...it's nerve-wrecking, that's for sure.

And we've got a new rule in F1 apparently: even when you have all the time in the world to react and avoid a collision, you can just hit someone hard in the back and not only get away with it, but even get rewarded for it :cheer:

Maybe Verstappen had to make way a little more and this would have been acceptable?

Spoiler

The shit Mercedes is getting away with this season is seriously getting out of hand...

At least for the first time in years he truly had to fight for it, and not within his own team. Long ago since we've had a season like this, with edge-of-the-seat situations left and right.

Both Verstappen and Hamilton played dirty.

I have the opinion that drivers should be penalized for pushing rivals off the track. They should give each other room.

Sky Sports wishes you a merry Christmas whilst people are being crashed into the hospital by their guy. But they're not biased at all :p

(Hopefully and presumably this video is simply someone's own edit and actually fake :d )

It is real, but I'm yet to find a version with sound.

People are saying this is proof Sky are biased against Max and find him crashing good. It's not exactly right, they just like 'action shots' as their advertising is about how Sky makes you closer with the slogan "feel it all" (in this case being replaced by "Merry Christmas"). The other slogan they use for big events is "It's only live once"

It's in poor taste, but people have misunderstood the intention

As now we come across the world
To share these Games of old
Let all the flags of every land
In brotherhood unfold
