About time. One wonders what the big bosses at Daimler have had to say about this in the past few days, it's easy to imagine they wanted to put an end to this and not get a reputation as sore losers.

We will hear them anyway. Let's be fair, the dude won 7 championships no matter how you look at it :p

Anyway, every single 'This one person is the best ever' claim is nonsense, whether it's about Hamilton or Schumacher or Senna or whatever.

He did.  But the way I look at it , his car was far superior to everyone else's.   Just look at the amount of wins every season.   The amount of times they went 1-2, the amount of poles.   It wasn't even close.   Shumacher didn't have a car that was that superior.   Even this year the Mercedes was better.   But the red bull did close the gap enough for Max's skills to do the rest

Not in every single season, no, but that's the same for Hamilton. It might be a matter of 'he had it in more seasons' or something, but both have had quite a few seasons in which their car was vastly superior (Schumacher's Ferrari at some point was even so dominant him and Barrichello could just toy around with the win).

They're both easily on the list of greatest drivers in history, I don't think there really can be much doubt about that.

2002 and 2004 Ferrari was vastly superior to the rest. Those two seasons were on par with some of Mercedes' last ones (2019 in particular when Red Bull switched to Honda and LeClerc outpaced the out of sorts Vettel who was still reeling from 2018 German GP error that basically shifted the title momentum).

That German gp in 2018 and Singapore go in 2017 were so important.   If outcome is different vettel might win the title
